Title: Joe “Whip” Lasch, Compton…his booth full of amazing products and a few strings
Post by: Oliverstacy on June 15, 2010, 03:24:00 PM
Well I can't thank Joe "Whip" Lasch enough for allowing me to have some strings at his booth this weekend at Compton.  Please stop by and check out a really nice hat amazing packs and some awesome RER bows and if you have a bow that needs some TLC his Bow Hospital is ready and willing to accept new patients.  After you check out all that and if you still have some time please check out some of my strings.

If you're in need of a new string and have the time take your current string off after it's braced at your favorite distance carefully remove it and measure it for the actual length.  I'm going to have a tape measure on hand if you want to do it at the show...I'll even bring my Sel-way stringers to assist you.  I'll have some AMO length strings along with many strings at various lengths since I don't make many AMO length strings, many bows seem to take string within+/- ½" of that measurement, sometimes more.  I'll have some 450+, D-97, D-10, 8125 and Dacron...longbow and recurve strings.

Joe's sharing a booth with Dwyer longbows so please take a look at their awesome line of bows...a 62" Dwyer Dauntless has called my name for a couple of years, it's getting harder to resist!

:campfire:  If you know Joe and are going to spend some time at his tent in the evenings and enjoy good aged bourbon please bring some ice...I have a nice bottle heading his way!  It will be there Saturday night for your enjoyment.

Perfect! Josh, I was going to PM you to see if you could make a string for my 66" big River, I guess we can do it there!

Were planning on spending some time by Joes tent, I'll have plenty of ice! Looking forward to it!

I don't have anything in that length but I'll make a couple tonight...I needed to get some longer length longbow strings for the show made.

I'll get some 61" and somce 63" strings in the mix.

Colors?  FF?

Bring some ice and a glass...it's good stuff!

Josh, I've had great success with ALL the strings you have made for me. You make a great string at a great price with great service. Hope to see you at Compton's, I'm heading there tomorrow to help out.

Josh  Glad you are going to do this.  Like owlbait said I have had great luck as well as my friends with your strings.  Got one for you to build for a Fedora.  Looking forward to meeting you.  Terry

Built two 63" 12-strand padded D-97's last night...one was green/brown with Dark Brown halo and the other was Yellow/Brown with Dark Brown halo.

I've got 30+ built and will get a few more before Saturday morning...I'll be around talking to all the vendors and on the 3-D course I won't be building strings there.

Hope to see many of you there!

Josh

Josh, after shooting several of your strings, it will be great to finally meet you.  I'll bring a little brandy to share, too.
