Title: Late Friday arrival at Compton
Post by: yukon chuck on June 13, 2010, 10:36:00 PM
I have never attended Compton, because it is a conflict with another yearly family engagement. This year I thought I might try and get there late Friday afternoon/evening, set up a tent, and be there for the first half of Saturday before returning home. Can any of you give me an idea of how tough it will be to find a spot for a tent at the last minute? Also, I am wondering if I can get a good taste for the vendors in such a short time? It is about a 3.5 hour drive for me and I'd hate to get shut out at the last minute.
Thanks in advance,
Chuck

Are there shower and or restroom facilities?

There will be plenty of room for you to set  your tent up. Vendors are in one area and you will have plenty of time Sat morning to do some shopping.  It's a good time.

You won't have any problem Chuck, and it's well worth the trip.  There are showers (long lines unless you're up early) and restrooms (air conditioned!)
I can bring along the BOTB arrow board you won on St. Jude if you like.
