Well I had a bad year this year, laid off, hernia surgery and as of recent broke thre ribs and punctured a lung. Doc said bowhunting with a recurve will most likely be out of the question this year. Well doc says I am looking good and as long as I take it easy i can give it a go. Well I shot this afternoon real easily and my life is whole again! Look out Wapiti here I come. (Fully armored in a helmet and armored suit my wife said) women?...
Good luck to ya! hate to hear of the problems? But hey! if your getting it done go for it! Pics and stories should be in order shortly.

Congratulations! But be very careful!
It's better to go easy and hunt for a long time to come than to go out there and injure yourself so that hunting becomes something of the past for you.
God bless,Mudd
Be careful and good luck.
Be thankfull you can hunt them out your back door. I think us westerners take it for granted. Good to hear your on the mend.
Good Luck!
Thanx for the support all. Crandog you are right. I came from minnesota when i was 1 cause my dad had a dream. if it weren't for him I would be a wishing probably too. I just wish hunting was like it was pre reintroduction. Every year it gets worse. They have closed alot of seasons near the park. Are we gonna get a handle on this or are the good times really over for good?
Glad to hear you're healing up. Follow Dr.s/Wife's orders, but have fun doing it.

Good luck.Glad to hear your healing.
Putting a rib through a lung is a pain you have to experience to appreciate.
Being able to bring your arms up is tough enough, but being able to draw a bow while the injury is still recent is just plain determination.
As you know, there are steps being made to try and bring balance back since the reintroduction.
At least things seem to be starting to head in the right direction. If you are able, I suggest becoming a proficient predator hunter!!!
 Good to hear your on the mend
Good luck. Take it slow, a set back would be demoralizing. Don't rush and enjoy the process.
Sounds awesome! :bigsmyl:
Good for you!
