My boy Jace (9 years old) got a new bow friday and after about an hour of tuning the bow he shot his best group ever. Group of three arrows from 9 yards away. He was really proud of this. The bow is a polaris 54" @ 24lb's. Both of us really like how the bow shoots and the feel in the hand.

He is looking forward to some 3D shoots coming up in a couple weeks.
Thanks for looking...Shane

Nice shooting Jace.
I could sure use some shooting tips!
Keep it up big guy!!!
Doesn't get much tighter than that. If it did you would be buying a lot of arrows. :clapper:
Good shooting.
Well done. Won't be long he'll be bringing home the winning trophies. :clapper:
Thanks for the comments guys...he has been practicing about 2-3 nights a week during the summer months over the past 2 years. We shoot about 10 sets of 3 and call it a night. I feel any more than that and we get burned out. I take him to about 3 3D shoots a year. He loves it. He can walk the courses much faster than me and doesn't get nearly as tired as i do, lol. I've been doing trad archery for 20 years now and am trying to keep it alive in my kids. Luckily my son likes doing it as much as i do. Next will be my 2 year old daughter to see if she likes it. A couple years and we will see if she wants to pick it up. If not, no problem...everyone has their thing they like. I don't believe in pushing anything on anyone. Thanks again for the praises...my son loves looking on here and hearing the stories.
Shane

Good shooting.
That's funny because he asked me "Dad what would happen if i hit an arrow that is already in the target?" I said "well if you can do that you are a better shooter than me and i'll hang it on the wall for ya" He was worried because a best friend of mine makes all of our arrows just for fun and my son was afraid of breaking one.
Well Shot...and the circle continues
Holy crap Batman!! Ok, that's just way too awesome for words....good shooting young man...did yourself very proud......john
Great shooting! Very nice.
Nice to see the young ones participating.
Awesome shooting Jace!
Good job Dad!
Thats one heck of a group Jace!!! Keep up the good work. >>> RAY
Outstanding! You had better get him to shooting five-spot targets soon before he starts ruining arrows!
 :archer2:
He shoots better than I do! Tell him there are guys with wheels who can't group like that!!

Great shooting, keep it up young man :clapper:
Ok so I am more than a little jealous.....wish I could shoot that well!
WAY TO GO!!
Tight work young man. Bust those arrows up until the day dad makes you buy your own. Then aim for a different spot.
Sweet!!!! Great shooting!!
I see some seriously memorable bbq's in your family's future, young man! Just remember, it's wild game and thus requires LESS cooking than store-bought meat. Medium rare at best with a venison or wild boar backstrap and you'll have EVERYONE thinking you're the MAN, trust me  !
That is great shooting! Tell him it is time to back up or get a job to pay for more arrows! :D
Future hunter here!
hey there 18thcentman...I talked to the lad and he agreed to give you a few lessons...lord knows you need em...
Looks like dad is in trouble!
