Last year I was laid off and went to Compton's for the first time. I shot bows and arrows until my feet hurt and had to hobble home. It was great! This year the economy is picking up and I may be mandated to work on Saturday. What I need to know is would it be worthwhile to drive 120 miles to show up on Sunday? Do the vendors take everything down Saturday evening? I seem to have a vague recollection of this. Are the targets set up all day? Thanks to all that respond to this.
Still plenty of time to visit vendors on Sunday morning. Some do start taking down after noon or so. The traffic in the tent is much lower on Sunday than it is on Friday and Saturday, so you might actually have better luck talking to bowyers and other vendors when they aren't quite so busy.
I believe the targets are up during the afternoon yet, and since many people are packing up their camps it can be a great time to shoot without the crowds.
Show up early on Sunday - cruise the vendor tents in the morning and shoot the courses all afternoon. Heck yeah, it's worth the drive!
Whip you are 100% correct. Sunday morning is a great time to shop early then shoot. Some people leave after the sat nite campfire so it is a little less crowded.
Sunday is probably the best day along with Friday
Thanks, that is what I wanted to hear.
