Well, I did some trading and got this Morrison a few days ago. Thought I would share it with ya'll. 62", Double pine cone "A" riser, 55# @ my 29", carbon foam core limbs with banded water snake skins.

Very nice TW
Purdy!
nice bow bro!
If you don't mind me asking...what do you think about it as far as shootability is concerned? Pros? Cons?
I just purchased a bow very similar. It should be here Monday. Unfortunately, mine won't have the snake skins.
Nice looking bow, love the skins
Whenever you get tired of it and want to sell it i would like first dibs
OK I got dibs when you trade her! We DO shoot the same bow weights and have the same draw length ;)
Seriously great looking bow! I am lovin' the Apex you traded me!
Sweet ....looks like a good trade to me!

Glenn
Never had a Morrison, but that is one fine lookin Bow, wish you the Best with her !!
Aww man you beat me by a minute featherhorn! Bet this one doesn't leave the herd though :)
Sorry guys, Ken actually has dibs if I ever get rid of her. But, I made the mistake of getting rid of one a while back, and of all the bows I've gone through, I missed it the most. So with that said, she won't be leaving the herd as Mike stated. :D
Lee: I can only say that for me it shoots straight, quiet, fast and hard. It's something a person has to judge for themselves. Good luck with your and be sure to post pics!
I wouldn't have this bow if it weren't for Dave, so, to Vermonster13, I humbly say: :notworthy:
Very nice bow. It has been a while since I have seen someone post a longer Morison. I don't seem to see many 60" and have not seen 62" bow for quite a while.
I have a 29" draw and as you can see by my finger position, there is no pinch what so ever and I get a very smooth release. I like the 62" much better than 60"s.
NICE!!!!
Thats a sharp lookin bow! Never heard of using those skins.
Very nice. I love the color of the riser. These bows just shoot where you point em. ;)
Awesome looking bow TW
I love the A riser / E limb combo myself... I have three of them... just so I don't run out. ;)
Enjoy the bow, they are definately one of my favs!!!
The one I have coming is a longbow Shawnee half pine cone A riser with E limbs...making 62". It has carbon core with carbon backing. I draw 28," and wonder if I would have been better matched to a C riser with C limbs as far as performance is concerned...also being 62" but with a longer riser and with shorter limbs...but I will keep people posted as to what I think of it once it arrives.
Sweet bow!
Those limbs look wicked!
nice bow tw
Sweet!
Still have that nice Widow PTF? Ever think about passing it along?
TW
You forgot to mention the Kudu horn finger grooves and
matching Kudu tips on the limbs. Riser woods are Philippine
Ebony outside and Koa inside. I'm glad you like it.
CPB
Nice looking bow, TW!
Thanks Bill. I forgot what the woods were. Been out shooting it again today, and I gotta tell ya, this is one smooth shooter. Can't thank you enough!
My pleasure TW.
Nice bow...and nice shooting!
Enjoy
Joe
I too particularly like your riser. What type of wood is it.
Riser woods are Philippine
Ebony outside and Koa inside.

TW,nice bow.I need to give a try at your lenght combo,I get recurve limbs ,A riser and C limbs.
TW,
Nice looking bow! Did you get the strings in the mail yet?
I really like the broadband water snakesskins!
Josh
I love a bow with skins on the limbs and those look incredible.
I have been trying to find a set for a year with no luck.
Been shooting a Morrison since 01. Shoot other bows at shoots guys have adn w/ vendors...but nothing seems to be an improvement over Bob's design. Not to say there are none as good or better...just haven't found one I like more.
I recently sold some original recurve limbs for the Cheyenne that were a bit too much weight since shoulder surgery, and very fortunately stumbled into a set of used longbow limbs for the Cheyenne...foam core and carbon!(Thanks again, Steelhead!)
OMG. I dropped weight on them below what I was shooting and I could hear Bob grinning on the phone when I asked if I'd loose performance.
He just could hardly control a giggle as he told me something to the effect of "not to worry, grasshopper" as the combo of foam core and carbon would outperform my standard limbs that draw 4# heavier.
The D limbs on a B riser makes for a longer bow than the same D limbs in recurve format, but hey... that I can get used to!
Many, many good bowyers and more coming along, but I'm happy being a one-bow man for now!
Doc Nock, that is funny!!! I could hear Bob grinning on the phone as well when he talked me into 46# limbs. I asked him if I could try them on my riser first before I bought. He laughed and said absolutely, but I am convinced that they won't come back. He was right. After three shots, I chronographed both of my Morrisons and the 46# carbon foam longbow shot within 2fps of my 52# shawnee. Now I can shoot accurately for longer periods of time.
Josh, I got the string and it worked out great. Good call on the length. That's testament that you've done this quite a bit and know your stuff!
Folks, need a good string? Contact Josh. That's all I've got to say too that. :D
Nice bow Wannabe1! With any luck, my next bow will be one of Mr. Morrison's.
I see you are in Albany.. I used to work there. Beautiful part of the country!
Thanks Pete, it is beautiful here. Don't have far to travel to be in wilderness. Be sure to post pics when you get one. I love to look at them. Some day, I want to try one of his Dakotas.
