My daughter has really developed an interest in hunting last year with a firearm, and this year she has beome interested in shooting the traditional bow. She would like to build up to a hunting weight bow, but I think it will take another year or so before she will be able to handle 40# or so controlled this year...although here in MS I don't know of a minimum weight requirement. We decided to work on form 1st, fun 2nd, accuracy 3rd, and traditional archery tournaments this year to pursue this, but have discussed that she won't go hunting with the traditional bow for another year or so (for whitetails). Until she is ready to hunt with the bow, she will continue to hunt with the firearm.
Anyway, here is a 3 minute video of her shooting...and she thought it would be cool to post.

The kid has great form. Boy does that bring back memories of my kid. Good job.
Thanks. We just picked up her "new" used Saxon Fox "youth bow" from Gator1 last week. She stayed at her grandparents last week for VBS and returned Friday, so I quickly refinished it when it arrived. I wanted it to look new for her when she returned. She likes it a good bit.
I only had two days to "get'er done," but I think it came out pretty clean.

Lee, she's shooting great! Just keep it interesting and fun. :clapper:
This may end up being my son's bow when he gets older. Like me, my daughter is right handed, but left eye dominant. We ordered her a custom left handed bow this morning.
