Ive had the privilege of meeting some outstanding individuals since I began coaching...this week was no exception, as my guest here in Alabama was a hardworking, humble guy by the name of Rick Duggan....who just so happens to be the first man to shoot all 28 species of the Super Slam with a Traditional bow! :notworthy:

I read the interview.. You've got to want it bad to make this happen.. Did Rick get a Tule Elk killed?
Thanks for posting this Rod.
Years ago, before he got famous :D , Rick was my room mate at base camp in our Yukon hunting outfit. A better guy you will not know  .
That's amazing, all 28 !!!
Awesome!
So who gave who lessens on what? ;)

I would have liked to just be a fly on the wall in the room.
I read the article in TBM a little while back. That takes a lot of determination and will power. It also shows how much he loves to hunt. He talks about having an understanding wife to allow him to seek his dream. My wife and I have been married for 24 years, but I am not sure she would be so understanding for me to be away from home hunting as much as it takes to take all 28 animals.
Congratulations, a great accomplishment.

Joe, we did get off track and talk about hunting a good deal, but only during lunch! :biglaugh:
I had told Rick earlier that his Super Slam wasn't gonna keep me from working him like a borrowed mule ;) ...and he is a hard worker!
Very cool Rod!
Good stuff! Thanks for sharing Rod. :clapper:
Wow, there's some stories to be told from his hunting adventures I bet. Must to one of the benefits of your coaching career Rod!

David, Rick did have some very interesting hunting stories and as usual most of them involved bush pilots...lol
Next time you talk to him, ask him about his Interior Grizzly...
