I know there is an aweful lot to do once you get to Compton, but don't forget the Trad Gang gathering scheduled for 11:00am on Saturday.  It is planned to be in the main seminar tent.  :wavey:    :wavey:

I might actually beat you this year Dave!  I'm planning on getting there on Tuesday and then help the Compton crew with some set up on Wednesday.

Terry....it will be there......and waiting to be shot. You can wear it out.....if'n you want to.

I am going to try & be at the get together this year. I will be there Thursday afternoon with a crew.

Good Lord Willing, we will be rolling in Thursday evening. It will be me, Mason, DW, and Skyler. First ever Compton for us TN / AL fellers. Praying for good weather this year so we can enjoy the entire weekend. Looking forward to meeting as many of you fine folk as possible.

I'm shooting to get there Tue evng if all goes ok at work.

Wayne, there's plenty of trees between your place and Compton. Sides, Joe's leaving early, go over to his place and get a few off his front lawn!

Should be there on friday and saturday would like to shoot with you'all.

I'll be there on Thursday afternoon with the kids. Be good seeing you all again.

Tuesday? I though extra early was Wednesday. May have to reschedule for Tuesday drive and set up.

I might be there Thursday afternoon with my kids as well. All depends on the weather. I am planning on camping Thursday night to Friday evening. Then I have to come back for some other weekend plans! Not sure if I will bring a bow or just shoot the ones that are there..... Looking hard at a forward handle longbow.....

You really should put this one on your list Curt.  Your kids would have the time of there life - kids everywhere all weekend long.  It is the most family freindly shoot I've ever seen.

But since it is much closer for you, how about Denton Hill this year?

Coming in with Rick Butler and his son on Wednesday. I will bring some nametags so we will know who everyone is. I would like to put a face to some of these names.

It will make it easier to "remember" the face, with a name on.....at least for me, it will.

We will have name tags available there Doug.  Also will have a dry erase board so that people can sign in as they arrive and you can check who all is around.  

Always great to put a face with a name.  Now if I can just remember all of the names and faces that I learn!  I get easily confused  :knothead:   - maybe you should just wear your name tag all weekend to help me out.  :rolleyes:

We follow along throughout the year, and share pictures along with some fantastic stories. Conversations with folks about the one thing we all love so much, and we could be standing next to each other and NOT know it. I too hope to meet and greet alot of people I already "know".

The economy has caused a "tightening of the belt" at my house. We choose wisely where our money goes. I have never been to the Comptons gathering yet, but I can already see it is a WISE move!!!  :D

Hope to be there, but might have to work!

I know your weather is going to be great so have a great time.  The Berrien County Sportsmens Club people do a bang up job to make your stay a good one.  Don't miss the breakfasts the women put on in the lodge. Pete never met you but Whip and myself are Fort Atkinson natives so make sure and rattle his cage you'll be impressed with his camp set up.

I'll be there, too.  Most of the weekend I'll be working the booth, but I'm setting my alarm for 11:00 am Sat!  It will be great meeting with you all.

BTW, the traveling 1956 Kodiak Special arrived at my house today and I will have it with me if anyone wants to fondle or shoot it.

Unfortunately we have two birthday parties and two graduation parties to attend Saturday afternoon and evening.  :(    Maybe something else I can't recall right off.  I don't understand people not consulting with me on these scheduling things.      It's a crazy weekend.  I will be there most of the day Friday and maybe Saturday until about 11, but then have to hit the road to make the first stop around noon.  Maybe next year unless I can talk the wife into covering for me on the first stop and then catch up with them later.  Maybe work some kind of father's day angle.   ;)

Ya gotta bring the tipi!!!!!!!!

I went down last night and set up my camper.  Things still look the same!!  :)   My dad and I will be there Thursday night.  I would have liked to stay all week but this work thing keeps interfering with fun!!   :rolleyes:

Were headed out early friday morning, be there before lunch!

Will anyone have a bow scale on hand at Comptons???

I have a bow.......that I have a very sneaking suspicion is MORE weight than it say's. Either that or all the rest of my bows are "underweight".

I'm just wanting to check this if-and-when I have the opportunity.

15 & under free
$5.00 weekend pass - no shooting
$30.00 to shoot - 4 days
$25.00 to shoot - 3 days
$20.00 to shoot - 1 day
camping thursday thru sunday - $20.00
$10.00 per day if before thursday

The Kids shoots will be on Saturday.

Yes there is.  They can get pretty busy and the wait can be long because there are only a couple but they are there.

The St. Joes river is beautiful there.  If they toss you in around Whips campsite the first aid crew could fish you out about a quarter mile downstream.
