It's (past) time for the "Cheerleader's Outfit" funeral pyre. It has served (and raised funds) for the St. Jude Auction here at TradGang for three years running now, nobely (or "sub-nobely" - depending on the strength of your stomache), and now it is time to "FULLY" retire it. As I promised in the "Retired Outfit (again) by Request" thread, of the St. Jude Bidding Forum #4, it was up to me to burn the outfit - to preclude further use in (embarassing) pictures to raise funds. I said I would do it a day ago but as I said somewhere (in a tread) we had to go make arrangements for a new Heat/Air pump yesterday. Today we are still melting here and I almopst forgot it again - but I finally came to my senses. Therefor here it "goes", in all it's glory (and infamy). (In spite of the job(s) it's done, I, for one, will not miss it - :clapper: :jumper:

T-t-t-t-hat's all there is, there ain't n'more, folks.
One final thing - the mods, etc. certainly have my permission (if needed) to delete all existing pictures of/from/about it that they may come across ( or keep them for posterity - I did it so I can't care - LOL)- BIG GRIN.
-
Killie you are auch a sentamentalist - or is it just that you are a "mental" friend? - LOL
-
:clapper: :biglaugh:
-
That's awsome!

-
Thanks, guys.
-
OH NO !!!! :saywhat:
:( Say it isn't so.
:banghead: I'll never be the same.
:coffee: Gonna have to ponder this.
-
Ah, yeas...I love the smell of burning feminity in a marine in the morning!
I can just imagine the testosterone coursing once again through your mini-grunt veins, Bernie!
Mods..please!!! make it so! $200 for St. Judes ought to rid the world of seeing bernie in hunting boots and a freakin SKIRT!!!
:scared: :knothead: :banghead:
You'd again make OL proud to have you on "his boat!"
-
We can rebuild him. Make him flashier, kickier, more winsome than any minigrunt has ever been before!
I'm going shopping right now for a pair of white gogo boots with the tassels on the front. Bern, what size do you wear?
Killdeer :bigsmyl:
-
 Looks to be you may not be off the hook forever.
-
Killdeer, while shopping for his next outfit, please say no to spandex.
-
Bernie...buns of butter...?
-
They don't make spandex small enough for me - it'd still sag 'n bag (except around the gut - and I'm working on that again) :goldtooth:
I think I'll pass on the white tassled boots, Killie, and go break out my cowboy boots again - perhaps I'll become a "Rhinestone Cowboy".

Lord, Bernie! Those dimples! Reminds me of Roy Rogers.
I was like, minus five years old then, thank goodness!
OK, Rhinestone Cowboy Cheerleader it is. I will go corner the market on sequins. Gold ostrich skin vest, boots and holsters, pink faux angora chaps...

Thought I'd run this back to the top to help put a "new/old" image in all the "Cheerleader Outfit" polluted minds out there. (The pic is from 1951 - I was 16 then and running my own small riding stables - another "stall mucker".)
LOL Spare me, the bling, Killie (Roy was my hero, way befor that, BTW)
-
Hmmmm - a thought just occured to me, (look out now - ;) ). If I were to go to my Photobucket albums, search through, find and delete any of those "outfit" pics I have on there, it should delete them from most any/all of the threads holding them, shouldn't it? Well except for some other folks posted - Like my dear friend, Killie, frinstance - :p Lemme ponder on that a while.
That should go a long way towards "taking out the trash" shouldn't it - at least until election time
-
Bernie,
You can delete the pictures, but I'm afraid they may be permanently etched in our minds . . .

LOL - well, as long as they remember that "certain" good friends beggered (and double dog dared) me into that undesireable perdicament, 3 years back, and that it was all for the research for the kids at St. Jude - and that all about it since then stemmed from that kinda dirty trick by "friends", I guess it'll be OK. I can live with it - :D
-
Bernie, My Dad was a grunt and he would have respected you to the tenth degree for what you did for the kids.
You have absolutely shown me how much a REAL MAN can do to help the needy.
And I would have worn that squilt in honor of you and my father if it could have brought just a bit more money for such a noble cause.
-
There ya go - bless your heart - anything for the kids.
-
Well, after careful consideration :goldtooth:
Now everyone can go back to more pleasant nightmares (another oxymoron, I reckon :) )
-
It seems to have worked, at least on the current thread on Bid Forum #4 :clapper:
-
Hate to know those pics are gone forever....and you could have framed the outfit for more money :D
But,....ya did what you felt like you needed to do.
It was a great donation Bernie....you done good. :notworthy: :notworthy:
-
Heh - heh- heh... Shhhh, Terry - just between you and me, I still have those horrible nightmares (pics) tucked safely away in my personal files - in case a "legal chance" (with dragon rider's deal kept in mind) ever arises to make more money for the Kids of St. Jude using them. "They" are never safe from "Anything for the kids" folks, and our ferrtile minds. hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe :scared:
