Well the auction is over and the many good deeds and money raised was staggering. The hard work by the guys running the show is much appreciated from just a regular member like me. It makes me proud to call you ladies and gents friends.
I am especially proud of the kids associated with this site!
I sent off a bow today to a very greatful 16 year-old boy who saved his own money to bid on a bow that I had Joe at The Bow Hospital refinish. That kid made me proud and reminds me of... well, me. I remember saving for my first bow and how I nearly cried (I said nearly) when the box arrived. I was 16...man a long time ago now.
Then you have Skyler who listed everything but the kitchen sink to help raise money for St Jude. I have never met the young man but if his future life is anything like the rocket that has taken off within the soul of this young bowhunter, then look out! Way to go!!!!
Lastly we have Miss Delaney who just wanted to help out and managed to get a bunch 'ol Bowhunters to pony up some cash for the kids during the Poundcake Conflict! She just wanted to do something to raise a little money and looked what happened. She is being raised right I tell ya!
I am sure there are many more but I just couldn't be more humbled by what great kids we have here. Thank you moms and dads for showing them the way. As long as we have those types of kids our sport will be continue to be strong

Thanks for posting this. I like to think I didn't really over look them as I see those like Skyler as one of the family, one of the "gang".
But as such he and the others deserve the same recognition I've given others for their sacrifice of time, talent, and goods.
Please young trad-ganger's know that I do appreciate all that you bring to the family as well.

Thanks for calling the hard work and donations of the junior members to the fore. As Mudd alluded to, you see the deed, and the name and avatar, and forget that this is a youngster. The actions are adult, worthy of merit, but we need to be aware that we are among people who have it right a lot earlier in the game than many.. so much earlier than I.

I agree - Skyler has been my "New Age Hero" for better than 3 years now. Though he stands out, he is far from alone. Not only here on TrdaGang but at the traditional shoots I attend, I find/meet youngsters that stand head and shoulders above their counterparts, in behavior, comportment, maturity, politeness, and best of all, real senses of humor. I love it, and the parents that help bring it about. I try to mention those types as often as possible.
