Title: Pistol grip recurves.
Post by: GraniteStater on June 07, 2010, 05:12:00 PM
I'm curious if anyone could suggest a company that makes a one piece recurve with a pistol style grip.  I've found Rose oak king panther, are there any other companies?  Any suggestions?

Try Wes Wallace; I think he makes the Mentor in a one-piece.  Best grip I've ever felt on any bow.

All of them....In fact I'm struggling to think of anyone that doesn't make a 1-piece with a pistol grip

Dan Toelke's Chinook is excellent. Unique locator grip, very fast, smooth, QUIET and beautifully made of beautiful woods. Delivery time on an order is about a month and there is a handful in stock on his website  www.montanabows.com, (http://www.montanabows.com,)  click on "current bow inventory" then "traditional recurves" to check them out.

Thanks for all the suggestions, being newer to traditional shooting I'm finding out piece by piece my preferences.  So far the deeper style grips like a super kodiak have been to my liking.

It really amazes me how many variations of grips there are, it feels like there are quite a few companies that could fit what I'm looking for.  It's now deciding which one I'd like to do business with, and is newbie friendly lol.  Still have time, and this website has truely been an educational experience for me.

Thanks again for your help guys.
