Title: ArrowHeads
Post by: Shakes.602 on June 07, 2010, 10:28:00 AM
Not Sure if This is the Place, but wanted to Share a  Little   "BrainStorm"  I had while getting some Arrows ready for "Cloverdale" this Weekend!!
I always Heat the Tip, these being Field Points, and Use a Hot Glue Gun to Make the Adhesion. I  was  Using a "Tea Light" Type Candle to Hold My Points Over Until they were Ready to Apply. Thus having to Whipe off the  Soot  afterwards.
You know the "Candle Heaters" aka "Coffee Mug Heaters" that sit on Many a Desk or Table?? I cleaned My Tips Up and sat them "Hole Down" on one of Those  BadBoys  for awhile!!
Got My Glue Hot, and Grabbed a Tip to Apply...
They are  "Toasty Warm"  and Slide with the Hot Glue Right on the Ends of The Arrows!!     Just a Suggestion, and My 2 Cents Worth!!  :archer2:

Bill, the black soot is from the oil you're using in the lamp. If you will use denatured alcohol instead you won't get the black stuff.

I like that Idea and they make them for cars and truck-cigarette lighter models as well.
