well we saw alot of fish last night but i had my eyes set on a few big grassies. my new hoyt excel fishing setup worked great on these big guys. the one fish im holding up in both pics almost got away......i hit him and he went straight into a beaver den!! we had to pull him out and get 2 more arrows in him. he wieghed in at 52#. the shorter one weighed 44#. man what a blast!

Cool! Looks like you had a good time.
You're either going to have a great fish fry or grow some real nice tomatoes..lol
God bless, Mudd

Man, that looks like a ton of wattage in them string o' lights! I'd be afraid of frying myself!
Nice catch, by the way. That looks like a BLAST!

Great shooting! Thanks for the pictures.

we are running about 4000 watts. im an instrument/ electrical engineer technician, so i have a few tricks built into the system to keep everything safe. we about to add two 500 watt lights on the back for those going away shots

Rock On!!!! Nice job!!

Wow, Those are two monsters!!
You should have taken the skins off of them, they make gorgeous backing for bows.
Congrats :clapper:
-
thats a carp load of fish ;)
-
I agree Guru, that would make an awesome bow backing. 44# and 52#! What a rush. How much power does it take to run those lights?
-
i started to skin them but they were pretty ripe by this morning:) we also saw some huge needlenose gar( like 5 footers). they were quick though. we'll get them next weekend.
owlbait- we use a john deere 6000 continuous wattage genny. it is more than enough and we are usually charging a troller battery off the genny while running the lights.
