Next week is my youngest son Luke's 18th birthday and high school graduation. I ordered this bow from Norm last spring and it arrived yesterday just in time. The bow 64" 55# @ 28 and is Oregon Myrtle and Bolivian Rosewood. I also made him some doug fir arrows to go along with the bow. I had the bow and arrows laying on his bed when he came home from his final day of school Friday. The look on his face is something I'll never forget! :)
Here's a few pics. He had to work last evening, so I will try to get some pics of him with it later today.

That is a beauty! Your son is very fortunate he's got you for a dad.
Beautiful bow....the arrows are nice too.
Ron, that is beautiful. The bow and arrows look awesome too. Luke is a very lucky young man, and not just because he received a wonderful bow. Sounds like he's been blessed for about 18 years now ;)

Cool!
Great gift. It is something that will always bring memories whenever he takes it out later in life.
You could not have given your son a better graduation present. You did good!
Great Job all the way around !!
Thanks guys! Unfortunately I couldn't corner him for a couple pics today. Real nice sunny day here for a change and he mentioned something about a girl in town as he went out the door. Been awhile, but I think I was 18 once myself! ;) :wavey: :banghead:
that bow is gorgeous...are you thinking of adopting? :D
Thats alot better than any watch!
Very nice bow Ron. The girl must really be good looking if that bow didn't slow him down.
Great gift for your son!
Now that's a graduation gift! Nice work dad.
It is always terrific to see pictures of someone's new Blacktail. Looks like this one found a good home and you are locking in that hunting buddy really solid. My son is 31 years old now and I've been keeping him in bows since he was 5. I helped him dragging his deer for his first 10 years of bowhunting, now he helps me.
They sure grow up fast. Thats a way cool outfit Ron, otta get you in the running for dad of the year for sure.
Looking forward to a few hero shots down the road. Robin
Good job Ron, Your son is a lucky young man.
Beautiful bow and I love those arrows
Well, we got out between monsoons and took a couple pics of him with his bow. I still need to tighten the string up and find the sweet spot...

Way to go Dad! :campfire:
Beautiful bow! Great idea for a graduation gift!
Very nice! My parents gave me a Ruger Red Label for my college graduation 20 years ago - probably the nicest gift I have ever received. I was still using wheels back then.
Maybe I can go back to school for another degree and convince my folks to order a Blacktail. The degree and the wait time ought to be about the same. Who am I kidding, I could probably order 3 before I would finish the degree. Might be worth it though! :D
Now that's what I call a graduation present! Nice arrows too Ron. Was it a surprise or did you let him know and make him suffer like the rest of us who have ordered a Blacktail? haha
This is really a nice gift
Margly
You only get one chance at those pivot points in their lives, eh?
Being 'the Dad' has some great moments and that's one of them
Good job Norm AND Tree!!!!
 Can't think of a better graduation gift!
I am 6' 195lbs a senior in high school with very good grades would you want to adopt (just joking)Your son is very lucky kid to have father like yourself and you must be very proud of your son to give such a gift what a beautiful bow and arrows i hope it will bring you two many memories.
It's nice to see a man take care of his boy.
Beautiful bow! I'm sure he'll keep it forever. My father also bought me my first custom bow back in 1996 as a college graduation present. I got my first trad kill with it. The only way I'll part with it is if I eventually pass it on to my 3 year old son.
