My new Shrew arrived a few days ago after a long 16+ month wait. It is a 56" Classic Hunter TD, 53# @ 28", carbon/foam limbs with curly birch vaneers. I added it to my collection of two Super Shrews. It is a shooter and maybe a hair louder than my whisper quiet SSs with wood limbs. Still a very quiet bow. I personally don't notice it being any smoother than my wood limb Shrews. It does have a little more zip. Arrows that are a tad stiff out of my 54# wood limb bow shoot like darts out of the 53# carbon/foam bow. The Shrews just fit me and I seem to shoot them better than other bows. I went with a grey/black color scheme and figure this will make a good blind bow and a good all around deer bow. My 58" 56# SS is my elk bow and hopefully some day my moose bow. I love the TD for the convenience and a touch more riser mass. I'd probably order another one if the wait wasn't so darn long. Here are some pics.

That one's a beauty!!
Nice.
You know, there is a Shrew you could get without ANY wait in the auction...
Very *nice* Mark!
Does this one say "Mulie" on it?
Shoot straight, Shinken
I just came in from shooting my new to me SS deluxe.I'm like you this bow likes me better than all others.58", 60#@28",more than I normally shoot but the grip makes it possible.A true hunting bow.Congrats.
:bigsmyl:
Shinken, I didn't think I could pull that off again. I thought for sure I would jinx myself with the "Elk" bow, didn't want to push my luck with this one.
Man, those gray stained curly birch veneers are SWEEET!
Nice bow, congrats!
I realy like those limbs! Makes for a very nice looking bow. 16 Months! Wow I bet that was pure torture. :D
Nice
Sweet looking bow! Congratulations on your new stick. :clapper:
Wow! Should get the job done.
Nice bow Mark!! Are you letting other people shoot it yet, or do I need to take a number? LOL
Seen a bruiser scouting last weekend, will post some pics soon.
Great looking shrew ! I just got on the 15 month wait for a sshrew. Thanks for sharing enjoy.
Congrats on your new bow. It is very distinctive with the gray/black colors. The grip looks so comfortable.
Niiiiice!
That's a beautiful Shrew. Congrats.
That is a nice looking bow. Good luck with it!
Thanks guys. Jake, looking forward to the scouting pics and come on up and shoot it. After all, you are the one that got me hooked on Shrews. I've shot and owned a bunch of different bows but my two TD Shrews are the only ones I've custom ordered. The wait is torture but it is nice to get exactly what you want.
Congratulations, that's a beautiful bow. I agree with your assessment and my Carbon Classic with carbon/foam is a little "louder" than the my Super Shrew Samurai, but still very quiet bow.
I've got the brown stained curley birch and it makes a beautiful bow and is nice camo to boot.
Very nice!
Congrats Mark, I know how much you like those bows and this one is very personal.I third the limb veneer character. It worths the waiting for sure, time passes fast.
I just got a shrew and they are great bows, i'll probably have another before long!
i hope time does indeed pass quickly, i have 14 more months to wait!! should be well worth it.
Looks like it was worth the wait. What a beautiful bow.
Nice looking bows! I hope to shoot one someday.
A beauty for sure. Congrats!
Thats a really sharp looking bow! Good luck!
Great looking Bow!! I see you have a couple of Old Junker Shrews There also. Just to help you out I'll take those off your hands LOL!!! Good Luck!!!
Great looking bow Mark. I agree with the statements you and Ray made. Obviously, the reason the new bow shoots well with arrows that are stiff for your other Shrews is that it is giving more energy and speed. Congratulations.
Allan
Thanks Allan and thanks for all your input and Shrew experience. It helped me make my decisions.
Mark,
Wow, Congradulations on another really nice Shrew. Nice choice on the woods.
Hopefully I can see it in person in a few weeks.
wow those limbs are the cats meow, i wonder if you didnt put a heavier arrow through it , it would quite down a little more. i like quiet "shhhhh" im hunting foam. lol
nice bow
Mark, If applied properly I've found that cat whiskers do the best job of quieting down the Shrews.
Cut a strip in half, lay both pieces on the string, wrap snugly with serving thread or dental floss. Then stretch out the rubber and trim near the ends with scissors until they look like the 2nd picture.

Thats a beautiful bow.
Love those veneers with the black/gray riser !
