Title: Morrison Dakota vs Cougar
Post by: Wapiti Chaser on June 01, 2010, 06:51:00 PM
My go to bow is a Morrison Dakota and I'm thinking about a used Morrison Cougar. The Cougar is two inches longer and three pounds heavier. They both have similar grips. What difference can I expect between these two ?

I have shot them both, I feel the Dakota is a little smoother, the Cougar is a little firmer, both I shot were 60", the longer cougar may feel just as smooth!

They were both made on the same form. So they are very similar.

I draw 27" my Dakota is 58" the Cougar is 60". On Bob's site it says the Cougar is more of a D shape when strung but they are both made on the same form. It doesn't look like the Cougar is made anymore.

If it is an older Cougar it will be slower than Dakota by fair amount.Bob can tell you what year cougar design changed.
