Title: Hunt worthy Productions bow blanks
Post by: Chester Thompson on June 01, 2010, 02:38:00 PM
I posted this under the bowyers section too, and did not get to may response's, so I thought that I would ask here too.

Has anybody finished one of Jame's Parker bow blanks? I am looking at the recurve blank that makes the vagabond bow. If you have pictues that would be great.

I have only heard great things about James, and the prices is just about right for me.

Thank you,
Chester

I've had good results with the Dryad blanks, both the fiberglass and bamboo back hybrid longbows. I don't think you can go wrong them. I'm not familiar with James Parker, does he have a website?

Good luck on your search.

Steve

I've not finished one myself but have seen some of the RD longbow blanks at Twinn Oaks shoot.Several guys made one at the shoot and they were already close enough off the form to string. They seemed top quality to me with nice glue lines.

I've looked that the Dryad's, but I really want a recurve again, and all I have been able to find are the huntworthyproductions.

RHC, the bows being built at Twin Oaks at the Classic were glue ups from David Knight (primalneedarchery) and not James' glue ups. David was selling his glue ups on James' site until he got his own site. They are both very similar and both very well made.
James' site is huntworthyproductions.com. James is an advertiser here on TG.
I have contact info for both if anyone is interested.
