Killdeer :wavey:
I got the pics and I'm working on them now (I think I took too many this time - LOL ), I'll start posting some on the original thread but the hero pics come towards the end - like the awards ceremony does - :D . However I will also offer my congrats to my two friends also - it is a true pleasure to me to watch them shoot, and hardly ever fall out of focus but still having a good time right along. "Unflappable" is what I calls 'em. I see others like that on the courses too - Lots of good shooters out there but it still doesn't surprise me that these two are "Ultimate" You rock, guys.
Jason
Thanks! We had a blast. My buddy Don always pushes me like no other.
Lee
I sweated too much on this shoot....a real but kicker for theis fat boy. You would love it!!!
Bernie
I think we weren't "unflatulent" (LOL)
Lookin forward to the pics!!!!
What owlbait said. How about some picks and your shooting setup?
Here's the photograph of the award. To win this award he had to use three different set-ups (primitive bow/arrows, recurve, and longbow).
Going up and down those hills in the heat and humidity is an accomplishment itself, IMO!

Congrats John,
Great pic.
Billy
Nice pic! Won't be long and he will be holding you John. :D
Bigdog maybe if I could have used "OLD BLUE" for all nine ranges I might have been more than 1000 points closer to shooting with John.
old blue would have carried you through
Good shooting John, but I hate to see a trooper from the 82nd Airborne come in second to a marine. I'm sure that Don has an excuse.
Good shooting, guys. Congrats Mr. Dill.
I know what you mean Don. I'm sorry to let the airborne down. My only excuse is I needed 8 more pts. Looks like I coulda picked at least that many up on 120 targets.LOL. I was a tough set up, but everyone had to shot it. Congrats John. DB
You guys made it look pretty easy Don. :D
What are we cooking next year? :biglaugh:
Nice work Gents!
Well - if ya must get beat, buddy, at least you can say it took the US Marines to send out one of their best to do it (now hush 2fletch - ;) )
 Sorry John, I just remembered the image of John Davis, sittin' up there on your belly, and trying to correlate that with "lean, mean, green". That's all right though - the good Marine focus is still there - not fuzzy like mine yet :D .
My hat's off to anyone who even shot that event. That's a lot of walking and shooting to do in hot humid weather. I had three good bows to shoot with but wimped out on the event. (Things sure have changed since the days at Ft Bragg when we'd run 6-7 miles in the morning back in 1962.)
Bernie, what do you mean "hush". Darned if you aren't talking all over Tradgang. :biglaugh:
Did you do the "120"?
Don the 120 up there is like shooting a 240 down here.Where do they get all those darn hills anyway? :D Shooting the targets is the only time you get to rest. Then it is either up or down another one. :biglaugh: Those girls riding the range selling candy would have made a lot more money selling rides to the top or B&C ranges. :)
LOL You got that right, Don - all over the place, like stink on .... limburger (or green on Marines). Nope, I didn't, only 68 and surprised I did that many and was still at least halfway alive - LOL. Sure enjoyed it all though.
James, how bout a pig and some chickens, maybe some bear stew one night and boar sausage for breakfast? Don't forget the cherry cobbler in the dutch oven. Hell might even make a couple freezers of banna icecreame. Don
Looks like I'll have to cut another notch in my belt for this feast..... :D
I am game to give it a shot Don. :notworthy:
Don was telling me (braggin' ;) ) about his home made bannana ice cream, on the way home Sun. eve. :campfire:
Sounds like he needs to show up early at the Sissipahaw shoot in August. :biglaugh:
Might go good with the pigs. ;)
Gee I thought y'all were talkin' 'bout this Sat-i-diddy night - oh well, Sissipaha in Aug. sounds like a winner too. :campfire:
