Title: Fred Bear Signature. Questions
Post by: Throop on May 29, 2010, 09:13:00 PM
Just got off the phone with my father, and was talking his ear off about traditional archery.  He knows i am new to it and love it.  He said he remembers that was what he hunted with 30 years ago and my grandfather still has their old bows.  He said one of them is a Fred Bear Signature.  And he has a Fred bear t/d.  Just wondering if you guys could give me some info on them.  I haven't seen them yet but really excited to see them.  My father said he wants to get back in to it.  Cant Wait!! I told him those Fred bears are a a great collectors item to me and others like me.  Any info on them would be greatly appreciated whats there value?  I know there was several out there hard to say what year they are but he mentioned it had Fred Bears signature on the riser.

If it is a true Signature bow, it will have gold latches and be in a wooden presentation box and the limbs will be yew. Worth some bucks if it is pristine. I would not shoot it or hunt with it. I have seen them go for 5 or 6 thou.
