Title: Got My new Mojostik
Post by: MERGANZER on May 27, 2010, 10:50:00 PM
Picked it up tonight and shot a few arrows through it after a friend bare shaft tested it and got it pretty much ready to go.  I have to say that J.D. Lund again made a gorgeous functional and very quiet bow.  I am so happy I went with him now.  It was a blast to shoot and I cannot wait to practice more with it this weekend.

JD is a true artist. His bows not only shoot well but they are some of the prettiest bows I've ever seen. Congratulations on a great bow

He does some great work but I was so surprised (not shooting a trad bow for about 15 years)  On how it felt so good and smooth.  It was so quiet I couldn't beleive it.  This may not be the only Whisperstik bow I ever buy.  I saw some others that were beautiful.

Ganzer,
It was my pleasure. In reality, it was super easy to bareshaft because I have a Mojostick with basically the exact specs. Both are 62" and yours is 52@29 and mine is 50@28. Took me about 2 minutes of testing all my different shafts to settle in on what I use too. LOL
Enjoy!

Well Bob I owe you a fifth of whatever your deercamp prefers and again thank you for helping me out.  I have wanted to take this leap for about 2 years and I am very happy I did.  Thanks again for all you help not just with the bow but last deer season as well!

I have no pictures right now but it is a very simple bow with a light ash riser and cocobolo limbs.  Its a very simple bow from the standpoint of 2 woods and so forth cause its the first one I have purchased and I wasn't sure what the price would be.  J.D. did do his famous antler tips which look phenomenal.  Its a beautiful bow for sure and I bet I shot 200 - 300 arrows this weekend.  I probably do not need to say that I am pretty sore right now but not as bad as I thought I would be lol.
