The last year and a half I have been a barebow shooter, gap shooting and walking my face for longer yardages. I had done this for a long time with a wheelie bow so when I switched back last year to a recurve it made for a easy transition. When I frist started shooting traditional back in the late 80's I started out shooting instinctive with Asbell's book and was quiet successful with it. This last winter I started playing around with shooting both styles and was doing good both ways but I was having more fun shooting instinctive. I think I will do better with my forum staying with one style so I'm switching back to instinctive shooting for the long term.
I have done the same, and instictive seems to work best for me too. But you never know unless you are willing to try other options.
Whatever works for you is fine just keep an open mind.Use whatever style works best or incorporate aspects of the best parts.Don't pick any style because it is more "TRADITIONAL".
