going to hunt some hogs later this week so I grabbed bow #2, Hunted with bow #1 all season and thought I string up the back up bow..I started making homemade bows last July..from 18 yards I shot a 29" 1535 bareshaft first, it flew perfect! shot a 30 inch 3555 bareshaft next and whack... Incredible shot!
I love the pile of deer parts!
What that cost you.Great shooting!
What you mean OOOPS ? I would love one of them on my wall!! :archer2:
Well done and with bare shafts too! Guess you're done tuning!
You had to hit the arrow, you didn't have any target left to shoot at.
Looks like consistent shooting pattern to me.
well I would say your done tuning. WOW
Doesn't get any better than that. Great job
Great shot! I have shoot a fleched arrow with a bare shaft, and the other way around, but not two bare shafts in a row.
Yep .Defintly he has bow tuned.Great shooting.
Robin Hoods are OK but when they're in the middle of the bull, they are GREAT!! I'd mount the arrows along with the picture.
I think the back-up bow would become my goto bow if it shoots like that. Very nice.
Great shootin', and great tunin'.
Two questions, What is the back up bow.....
and what is your #1 bow ?
joekeith, I was thinking the same thing!!!!!
BOB
fine tuning ... :)
That pile of shot out targets is something I love to see.
A BOWHUNTER lives there!!!
Bowhunters MUST shoot their bows.
Fletch the back ends, sharpen the front ends, and go get some pork. :archer2:
I'm with Bonebuster! The "Robin Hood" is cool but the targets all shot up tell me more about you than one ruined arrow ever could..lol
Condolences and Congratulations !!!!!!
God bless,Mudd
PS I am on the verge of having to replace my eternity target darn it. I love that thing for field tips. I have a block type target, an 18-in 1, plus 4 or 5 burlap bag(homemade) targets so how is it that at least two of all these needs replacing?
Go figure!
Can ya get a little tighter group? :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl:
Holy Shiitake Mushrooms Batman!!!
Never seen that before!!
Like what was said before..
Robin hood--$20
Hitting the bull -- $0
Doing all the above with bare shafts and having a picture-- Priceless!!!
:archer2: :archer2: :archer2:
Love all those shot-up targets myself! Good shooting bud, I'd say the hogs are in deep trouble. :archer2:
  Yours fly MUCH MUCH better than mine!
thanks for the nice comments, It is rare to have a perfect robinhood but to have one with bare shafts is really odd and rare..Last year I ordered the Binghams plans and DVD for their one piece recurve, I also spent many many hours researching bow building on the internet..The bow in the pic was the 2nd bow I built, 50# @ 28inches .. it has a Dymondwood riser,an actionboo taper, 040 clear glass and two 030 black walnut parallels. Bow #1 is 54# @ 28inches has cocobolo dymondwood riser, cocobolo veneers and a amberboo taper..2 deer and 2 hogs were taken cleanly with this bow..I pulled back and let down on a bunch more, had to leave some for Helen to take...I am starting bow #9 this week, it will have s-glass and red elm limbs, a bunch of glass and dymondwood will go in the riser for mass weight..I may send it to Big Jim for a camo dip or Spray paint it flat black and redneck camo paint it..I started building longbows in March of this year, kennym sent me a template of his design and some instructions.
i dear ya to do that again ... :bigsmyl:
maby you should try a new concept (one arrow per target) nice shootin. :notworthy:
Wow!!
Might as well hang it up now......nah! lol
Good job man!
I am going to try to fix some of the targets by cutting a square out of center section with a sawsall and cut up some pieces out of other old targets and frankenstein together a couple of deer targets..I am hoping spray foam will work as glue..will post pics of process if this works. I hate buying new targets..
You don't need any stinkin' feathers on those shafts!!!! :notworthy:
Just pick another spot, your target will last forever.
Forget the feathers! You are ready to hunt. Great shot.
