Title: 6 Days Till SHOW TIME - "What can I list" ?????.....
Post by: Terry Green on May 24, 2010, 09:25:00 AM
On the St Judes Auction????

With time running out, the economy the way it is, and listings a 150 off from last years I thought I'd make this post.

Anything you got can be listed or donated on the Auction.  You never know how much money an item will bring, or what that money will do for a child.

If you have something(yes, me included), that is 'in the way - needs throwing away - or given away'.....list it on the forum and help a kid.  They gotta beat the economy no matter how bad it is...so lets don't let the economy beat us as we fight for the kids.

I'm going to be looking around tomorrow and see what else I can give(got girls dance recitals tonight).

Take care,

Terry

If you want to move the bow I have listed on the sponsor classified page over to the auction...that would be fine with me.  If not I will move it when I get time later tonight.  ;)
Thanks...Jared

Thank you Tim. Not only for your generous donation but for the idea.

Terry I have a real nice GFA style quiver in the classifieds for trade. This quiver was made by Gray Buffalo and he does real good work as can be seen in the pictures.

Anyway if you'll kindly take that and move it over to the auction board I would be grateful for it.

Thank you!

God bless,Mudd

Just so you know.......

Terry, when I made you the offer no one had asked about buying it but when I went over to explain on the ad what was going to happen with the quiver there was a tradganger who was interested so I figured "A bird in the hand..." Anyway I told the poster if he wanted it to send you the money and me his mailing address and I'd make sure he got it.

Thanks!

God bless,Mudd

This makes my heart smile! I know different people have different problems and all of us have to do what we have to do, especially about certain things, at certain times. However, having acknowleged that, I have still always wondered, each year, how folks could have so many things listed in the "classified" right while the annual St. Jude Auction is going on. I think if I had something I wanted/needed to sell I just would make sure I didn't list it at that same precise time - but that's just me. My wife tells me that I "harp" on that every year, but only to her poor ears - LOL.(In fact, this year, I do have some items I need/want to sell right now but they wouldn't be listed in our classified forum now - even if they could be - LOL)

I love that some of you folks have seen that same light and idea, (with just a small, unspecific nudge from Terry) - bless your hearts. I still do not in any way fault the "unenlightened"    ;)    ones - each person to their own ways and devices, and bless them too.     :clapper:

Going to scrounge through the den and see if I can't come up with anything else to donate.  The time is at hand!  Turn those caps backwards for the rally and lets get it done!
