We'll its time to introduce a new product. Usually we wait until January to introduce new products...but we wanted to see this new Quiver in action this hunting season. We've been testing a new Bow Quiver Hood that is called the "Kanati Slim Jim" The Slim Jim Quiver hood will be an optional hood to be used on our Kanati Angle Mounting system and possibly other systems we currently offer. This hood is made in a 3 arrow configuration with possibly a 5 arrow model in the near future. The 3 arrow Slim Jim will be ready for delivery mid June. This hood is designed to accept 2 blade heads and field points. Designed to keep your two blade single bevels, double bevel and broadheads up to 1.75 wide snug...for an always at your finger tip readiness. Comes in 3 color options: Osage(as shown below)Bubinga, and Ebony. The Kanati Slim Jim has a slim profile to keep your bows profile trim and reduces overall weight. It will be made with Kanati quality that uses high grade leather and hand stiching to complement any traditional bow. Check out the pictures below. Feel free to call us for questions or to place an order. Thanks for looking!

-
Wannabe
Sounds good!
-
Great Design! Will there be a side riser mount version??
-
Wow !! Great looking 2 blade quiver !!
-
Really slick looking. Nice and tight to the bow. If a two piece it would be super light, I'd think. We'll look forward to more news on this one.
-
i saw this get up in person at sissapaw, the pics dont do it justice. very cool settup. i think john has reset the benchmark for bow quivers
-
I may have to shoot 2 blades again! That is a great looking quiver!
-
I like the new quiver as well.
-
Thats a very slick idea!
-
Nice quiver, any plans to make a similar one for a 3 blade?
-
Man,if it holds treesharks you don't need no stinking 3 blades! ;) :biglaugh:
-
That is sweet!! Looks like just the ticket!!
-
Oh my,
I really like that design. Interested in this one, ALOT!!
-
Thanks guys!
As far as a 3 blade model. It may be in the works later down the road. We want to perfect the 2 blade model for now.
-
John, I have watched you grow your business for a few years now. I hate to say this, because I know how your head gets, but,
way cool!
Killdeer
-
John that is a sweet looking set up, makes me want to get some 125gr. Land Sharks & put my name down for one.
Are you going to offer that with a limb mounted set up?
BTW We met at the North American Bowhunter Jamboree, bought a set of your limb bolts from ya.
Hope to see ya there this year.
-
lookin good john!
-
John, another great product!! It was nice talking with you today. I can see me ordering one of these hoods from you in the near future.
-
John,
I don't want to make your head swell any more...but you do nice work, my friend! If you have those at either ATAR or Denton Hill I might have to part with some hard earned money. Just don't bring any of those bows with you....I don't want to be tempted....
Lee
-
John, I told you they would like it. See ya this weekend. Don
-
John, will anyone have a demo at Compton's to look at?
-
Mike, thats a great idea. I think John should load up the annewakee express and head up to Compton's this year. I think the fine folks up there would recieve him well. Don
-
I don't know why not! Besides, I haven't received my free, complimentary shooting lesson from John and You! Of course, the vendor packet problems this year you know....
-
Sweet!
-
PM sent for an order in Ebony.
-
I think you got a winner there for sure! I like it.
-
Killie
Glad you like the Slim Jim! By the way...My head has deflated....Cindy (my wife) keeps a sharp needle around so that it doesn't get to big.(LOL)
Eugene
We are testing the other mounting options and will possibly be offering the slim jim in other options.
I plan to have several at ATAR, Denton and a few other shoots
Owl
Think they will let the southern mafia show up north of the border?(LOL)
Lee
Good to hear from you!!! I'll be lookin forward to seeing you at ATAR!!!

Have you worked out pricing John?
-
Not yet....we will once all dies, hydro cut charge, clicker time, sew time, assembly and a few others come together in a week or so.
-
Just finished up 500 3 arrow grippers for the Slim Jim.....were getting closer.
-
Great looking new quiver. Design looks functional and rugged. I like it.
-
Thanks Stan!!!
-
Love it! Will have to think about ordering one of these... very intuitive!
Kevin
-
I was able to see one as well a few weeks ago and as usual, a top quality constructed and very thoughtful design. This is truly something radically new and useful. John has really "built a better mousetrap" with this quiver. It gets me fired up for what else we will see out of John in the future!
-
Man that is cool! Very nice John, almost makes me want to shoot two blades just so I can use that quiver :)
A 3 blade model would be cool as well, just offset the tri angular shaped leather hoods. Maybe not as slim as this model, but still slimmer than anything else out there
-
That is a great design. Very Nice!
-
I like it a lot....and, I'm looking for a new quiver for an elk hunt this fall.
-
John,
That is a cool quiver. Will you be offering it in the Pro strap on model?
-
I love it. I have been debating about two blade or three blade for the Sept. elk. Now I know...
So simple and so functional.
BTW: That is a high compliment. I love things that are simple yet you know the person thought about it a lot. And yet made it simple. For most folks, the more they think about something the more complicated it gets. It takes a very special designer to do the opposite. And I appreciate the genius.
-
John
I emailed you a couple questions about your quivers a couple days ago - from the email addy at the web site - did it go thru?
Thanks
Ryan
-
I really like that. I will be ordering one soon,or hopefully will see you at Comptons.
-
Ryan
Good to hear from you! Been at the NC trad shoot this weekend. I'll touch base with your email. Feel free to give me a call also....lots more info calling than in my poor typing skills 252-227-2114 Thanks
Still testing other models. We will be getting the Angle Slim Jims together next week!!!!
Thanks for all the nice comments

I saw John"s great new BH quiver at Sissipaha two weeks ago and this weekend at Hickory. In between I somehow missed this thread (kept watching his web site for it's arrival on there - LOL). In between the two shoots I had already decided that was just what i personally need on my Anneewakee Addiction, "Blackie". It just fits my current hunting habits to a tee and i love it. Also I'll be able to carry it year round, 3D shooting, with the exact weight I'll hunt with. I use my back quiver that use to be Barb Dumas's before her passing when "we" go to 3D shoots, or now and then my Mike's Leathers hip quiver. - but I don't hunt with those. I "need" a single blade bow quiver for my hunting arrows so I won't have to carry them around, in my hand, in an old 3 arrow mini Quickee anymore - LOL.
It never ceases to amaze me how John comes up with great product ideas and then turns them into quality realities so quicly and correctly. It's always exciting to watch these things happen. You go, John - I hope your business keeps right on growing just like John Davis Dill does.
Great pics again, BTW. Really shows it off well.
-
AND speaking of growth - here is a sample (from this past weekend) of how the younger John has learned about growth, from watching his Dad's bussiness grow. It's hard to believe in both cases;
(I really liked this pic - John Davis is going to check his shots on the practice target at our camp - while the rest are still jawing - LOL)
-
John
Thanks for touching base! Yep, I figured that, this being a real busy time of year with shoots and all. We'll talk.
You have some REAL nice looking stuff!...love the angled quiver.

Bernie
Thanks for the super comments....I think a slim Jim will work great in the Dunn arsenal! Awesome picture of John Davis...he's the CEO and I'm the labor. Mom runs the ship. Great spending time with you this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Ryan
Thanks. I hope we can talk real soon! Email out soon!
-
I am in the market for a quiver. This looks interesting!
-
My pleasure, John - I calls 'em as I sees 'em!
-
I'll be prepared to demo any time this fall John.I think i need something to make me look slimmer in the woods,my waist sure ain't cutting it.Later bud
-
Looking forward to seeing these. Trying to decide between one of these or a arrowmaster.
-
Just saw this! John this is a winner . Enjoyed our conversation today. Let's keep in touch. Hopefully in near future I can take a shooting lesson from you if batman will let me in on one
-
Wow - that John Davis has really grown since I last saw him! Thank goodness he got his looks from his mother....
-
Scrogg
Keep in touch. You will like this bow quiver.
Joey
Good talking with you today. I think with your ideas and a few of mine thrown in we'll be a trad sight to behold(LOL)
Tom
He's eatin all the corn in my garden this year and is growing like a corn stalk!
Thanks guys for bringing this thread up! I've finally got the mechanical drawings done so we can have dies made to keep production up. We will have our first batch ready next week. I will be calling all preorders also. We will offer the Slim Jim in three mounting options. The Pro, Angle option and a 2 piece side mount. I'll post a few pics...
-
Any chance you will have any left to take to ATAR?
Bill

Bill
I hope to have a few at ATAR.
There will be an optional rider arrow gripper to make these work with judos and blunts.
These bow quivers ride close to the bow and center the weight of the quiver reducing any lateral torque. Its becoming my favorite!
-
Hey John
Great looking quiver and functional too! Was wondering what to the Slim Pro and Angled weigh compared to your Std quivers?
thanks
Mike
-
The Slim Jim Angle weighs about the same as the standard Angle depending on leather density around 8.5 to 9 oz.
The Slim Jim Pro will be around 9 oz to 10 oz with the center bar.
Also with this slim design the weight of the quiver rides closer to the bows centerline., reducing offset. I love the way they feel on my Addiction.
-
Looks like we will have plenty for ETAR and only a few at ATAR. Check them out.
-
Pretty excellent looking! If there was some way to include an extra holder for a judo tipped arrow, without using a "piggy backer", it would be perfect.
-
Been waitin' 'n watchin' for this news - :jumper:
Looking better (if possible) and better, John. Glad to see you are so close to release date. You go, man! I think a lot of folks are ready and waiting, and there'll be a bunch more in the wings after they see a few folks "strutting" their new Slim Jims. I hope they keep you busy as a three legged cat with the trots (but don't swamp you - LOL)
-
OOOHHHHHHH!!That Ebony is sweeeetttt!
-
john we need to talk i NEED one for this fall
-
Foxbo
We got the answer you want. It will be ready at the end of this week after the 4th. It effectively makes the 3 arrow Slim Jim a 4 arrow model!!!!! :D
-
Now yer loggin', John!
-
I got one in the ebony on order. :D It's gonna look real nice on my new bow.
-
Still testing other models.
Is one of those other models one with a shoulder strap?.....I like a bare bow :) That looks like it would be a real quiet quiver
Jerry
-
Looking forward to seeing a pic of the four arrow model.
-
Would those quivers mount on a three piece recurve, and if so what mount or strap would I have to order thanks
-
Babs
Either model will work for you. We make several options for 3 piece bows. Check out the diffrent mounting options and their benefits. www.kanatiquiver.com (http://www.kanatiquiver.com)
-
Gotta love a versatile product and a well planned program!
-
OOOOOHHH YEAH snap into a slim jim.
-
i did
-
Hmmm - if I put one of those Ebony Slim Jims on my "Blackie" Anneewakee Addiction, maybe I could sneak up on a nice Black Bear like that this coming season. (At least I'll be sure I can get my bow back up in the tree, with the "knot" batman showed me - unlike last year's embarressing situation. The arrows and bow will be together too :) )
-
Looks good John...
"This could be the start of something BIG!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHDmkv2gpX0
-
LOL - Yer right, Ron - Maybe not quite as big as Steve Lawrence and Edie Gorme once were - but since it's archery stuff the Slim Jim should last even longer :D
-
Good talking with you Ron. Maybe I should make that video part of the marketing campain(LOL)
Bernie
I know a Slim Jim that look good on Blackie!
-
Just when I thought I had figured out whats going on my new Addiction recurve when I get it you have to do this to me! ;) :D I meant to say my wifes new recurve. :saywhat: :D :D
-
LOL - Doug! Whose bow  :D
I'll bet you do know the "right one", John - I must say you really do have an eye for that - I've watched you suggest and try on many a quiver to a customers favorite bow, and hit it right on the head for them, sometimes even with one they might not have considered until you got it on there. (Of course this was while I was just hanging around your booth enjoying Cindy's personality and sales professionalism - :D )
-
Doug
I think she'll be happy with a new Kanati Slim Jim (LOL)!
-
When you planning on hitting Lake Stephens for ATAR this weekend, John?
-
Doug, I need your wifes name so I can put it on her new bow LOL!!
-
(I think it sounds like her first name may be spelled the same as his - I'm just saying - ;)
-
Bernie
I hope we can pull out Thursday evening but it might be Friday morning before we leave. I got Paul mills to reserve our usuall spot. I 'll be lookin forward to seeing you guys!
-
Well its finally out of the design stage and into production!!! We have our first batch made up and all pre orders have been shipped. If we missed you on the pre orders give us a call ASAP 252-227-2114.
We will be bringing several to ETAR this week. Those attending come by and check out the Kanati Slim Jim.....It my favorte bow quiver! We also will be offering it at a cost saving show price for those who buy at the show.
The Kanati Slim Jim will be offered in a 4 arrow Pro mount, 4 arrow Angle mount and a 4 arrow 2 piece side mount. You can carry your judo with this quiver!!!
-
John you may have posted, but I did not see the slim jim on your site. Did I miss it?
-
mine is enroute thanks
-
Not meaning to answer for John but, to the best of my knowledge (and scanning - LOL), John hasn't had a chance to put pics of it on his web site yet, and/or list it. I do know that he's been really hustling to get the Slim Jim into full production, and it (and himself) ready for ATAR and ETAR. Like he indicated, a lot of pre-orders had to be filled from the earlier sneak-peak pictures on this thread (and a couple others), and from folks seeing one or two proto-types he "showed" at Hickory (NC State Shoot)befor ATAR. It's a beauty IMO (and chock-a-block full of his usual quality and design) though and I sure plan to get mine on my Anneewakee Addiction before the hunting season starts.
