Sorry guys. The last post I guess I had the pics too big. Anyhow, had a pretty good day on the lake the other day. Got some nice spotted gar (which don't get very big). It was sunny & overcast and caught some common carp sucking on the surface. Made for some bullseye shooting @ those orange lips. Got one right down the pipe!

Thats way to cool!
Now that's what i call force feeding
Nice pics! I've shot those spotted gar in Michigan and Iowa, but never one that big. They only get about half that big here. Looks like you center punched that one!
The state record here is 9#. We killed to that day that were 6 and some change. The longnose and alligator gar are obviously much bigger. I think the spotted ones are beautiful. I'd put one on the wall if I wasn't married!
That was a fun day of fishin'!
Thanks for sharin'.
Shoot straight, Shinken

Congrats
Way to go!
That looks like lots of fun. Nice shooting Tim. What lake were you on?
Allan
Sweet, thanks for sharing ^^
Nice pics. That carp looks like a good one.
We continue to get rain here in MI. All the lakes and rivers are flooded. This week is suppose to warm into the 80s. Just what we've been waiting for. There is little doubt that every flood plain in southern MI will hold fish. Should be lots of fun. Can't wait.
TKYTRAC; you will have to keep me posted. I was born in Grand Blanc, but haven't shot a fish in Michiagan in about ten years. We killed some monsters up near Alpena from jet-skis one year. That was a trip!
amar911: We were on Murray. Not as many fish out there as there used to be, but still beautiful and a fun trip. Where are you from?
