Title: Hey Guys
Post by: Tyler2045 on May 19, 2010, 10:10:00 PM
Hey who makes d-b50 strings at a reasonable price, one of my youth just found his dads old 45# Ben Pearson 7070 bow it is xx45#over- @28 and is 62 inches long and I am trying to find him a string. I pulled the one off my wife bow for now but He is wanting to get his own. Any help would be appreciated.                  Thanks Tyler and soon to be member Jordan

Look up Chad on here he goes by LBR and he's a sponsor (chekmate bows or champion custom strings)

He'll take care of you.

Tyler,
Send my your mailing address in a pm and I'll send you one. Let me know what colors likes and I'll get him one made up. Anything to keep the youth interested in traditional archery. Brian

I am excited to say so far I have gotten two of the guys in my youth group into shooting trad bows. One is now looking for a trad bow to buy for himself after shooting mine and the other is the one I was needing the  string for. I have only been the youth pastor for a little over a month here. I also have some 11 and 13 year olds interested if I can make or find some cheap youth bows. I am really wanting to start making bows this summer for them. Wish me luck. Dream Big or go home right.   God Bless All, Tyler

Tyler, if you have a couple of boys there that could handle 40-45#, I've got a couple of OLD Shakespeares that I'd be willing to ship you CHEAP.
I purchased a few old bows trying to find fishing bows for myself and the grandkids.
Settled on the fishing bows and now have 2 remaining.
Nothin fancy, but well worth what I'm asking to help out a couple newbies.
100 bucks TYD for both.
If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you pics.

Tyler-
Good on you trying to get some young people involved in something great.  I just built my first bow and found the Bowyers Bench here a LOT of help.  Do a few searches for "youth bows" on the site, especially in the Bowyers Bench and you'll come up with some decent finds.  The folks there are very willing to help you out if you get in touch with them.  If you can find some decent grained Red Oak boards at the lumber suppliers around you, that'd be an economical way to go.  Good luck

Jeremy
