1. Compton's in Berrien Springs Mich. is more like a 3 day Trad Archery Festival.  Lots of vendors, great courses, novelty shoots and seminars.

2. The Michigan Traditional Bowhunters Rendevous, in Grayling Mich. is another great shoot, the weekend after Compton's.

If you are looking for a giant shoot then Compton is the place to be.  Lots of big names, events, vendors, etc. Especially if you have kids.  Special program on Sat for the kids. Rub shoulders w/ everyone who is someone in Traditional Archery.  Seminars and lots of new people to meet. TV news, newspapers, even saw ESPN there once.
My favorite would have to be the Michigan Longbow Association's Great Lakes Invitational held at Charlton Park in Hastings Michigan.  Super place.  Small enough to be personal and big enough to fill your needs.  Nice civil war museum, 1880's town, lake to swim, river to canoe.  Easy place to make new friends.  Even has a children's area for supervised shooting. Nice raffle at the end of the w/e.  You'll have fun.  Stop by my camp and have lunch on Sat afternoon.
