Title: New to me ILF rig
Post by: koger on May 18, 2010, 05:04:00 AM
I had gotten a Samick ILF riser, 23" awhile back in on a trade, nice looking even though lower end riser. I put on a magnetic flipper rest and plunger, ordered a set of #40 shorts, Tradtech Black Max limbs. I put everthing together, made a D-97 string and shot it in, 40 shots, adjusted nock twice, plunger button three times and WOW! This thing shoots tiny clusters of arrows out to 40 yards, farthest I have shot so far! I was shooting BT 35/55 and Vapor 2000's,28&1/2 inches, 150 up front, 3" adn 4" feathers and you could not see the arrow in flight it was flying so good. Pulls #45 cranked all the way down, makes a 64" recurve and is dead quiet, no hand shock, only sound is the arrow hitting the target. Nice bow to work on form with and 3d shoot, cant reccomend these limbs enough. I  shoot instinctive and dont change my anchor, dead on out to 40 yards! The more I fool with them, the better I like longer bows.

Sounds like a great bow Koger. I'm with you on the longer bows, I love the looks and compactness of my shorties but they aren't as accurate as my long ones. Let me take that back "I" am not as accurate with the short ones as I am with my longer ones. been wanting to build an ILF for a while now but the cash is a little low right now, time to sell one huh. Congrats on the bow!!
