I just got in some wood shafts and here are some facts;
For longbow 47#@28", cut 29 back of head!
Spine is 55-60 lbs.
Tapered 11/32 down to 5/16 at nock!
Ordered them dipped, stained,crested,and nocks installed!
Wood is Poplar!
Maker-Twig Archery!
Made up they weight 560 grains with 125 grain head! 435 grains without point!
The raw shaft at 31 1/2" weighted 420 to 440 grains before taper and cut to 29"!
Arrow cut 29" comes out the same as raw shaft!
I will test them latter and let you know how theu shoot? Those are very nice! Hap
Good looking arrows Ken, and I'll bet they fly as good as they look. That made up arrow length and weight sounds just about right for my 44# longbow, so don't leave them out overnight or you might wake up to me thumping your targets with them! Let us know how they behave out of your longbow. :archer2:
