Title: New to me, again.
Post by: pdk25 on May 11, 2010, 04:16:00 PM
Got this critter gitter with the jack-knife system in a trade a couple of months back.  I only shot maybe 20 shots out of it, and decided that I would be more likely to hunt with it if it was a satin finish rather glossy.  I sent it back to Great Northern and just got it back today.  I actually like how the bloodwood riser and tips look with the satin finish, and the osage still looks pretty good to me.  Had the weight reduced a few pounds while I was at it, so it'll be more hospitable when it's cold.  Probably around 69# at my draw.  Here are some pics.

It's the top bow.  Just wanted a full braced pic.

I hope I never get sick. Only thing Pat studies is the classifieds! Thank goodness he stays out of my weight range.

Killdeer
(Pretty bow. How long will you keep THIS one?)
(Dang he's fickle.)

Hey Adam, that's funny.  One of my bows finally has enough 'D' shape for you.

Hey Pat don't forget to cut the balls off that thing or Mike and Tim will be all over you.  The bow looks great too, but hey I'm not a big fan of glossy finishes.  Good luck with the test coming up.

Wow pat that is much better!  I wasn't to fond of that high gloss when I saw it but now its a real looker and ready for the woods!!!

I agree, Tom.  I like it better this way.  I think the gloss actually hid how nice the bloodwood is.

Dave, I talked to Tim.  He said I should leave the balls on, or else the bow will get fat and want to sit on the bowrack all day.

Killie ,
If Pat puts as much effort into his medical work as he does bows, he will win the Nobel Peace Prize his first Year!

That is a nice looking bow Pat. Now get back to the books, so you don't mess up my OK hunting.
