Title: Samick recurves?
Post by: gregk on May 09, 2010, 11:30:00 PM
Has anybody had any experience with the Samick line of recurves? My son is wanting to purchase a Samick Hawkeye. I personally prefer to stay away from the foreign made bows and have always used custom bows or Bear bows. He is looking at the price and thinking he will not get to shoot that much so he does not want to tie up too much money on a bow just yet. Any feedback would be appreciated.

the samicks are decent bows for the money, don't expect bw performance from the hawkeye because it looks like one.

Hey Brother,
Get him to take a look at the Samick Stingray.
Very good bow, especially for around $225.00.
Shoots good and quiet too!

Not a Morrison or B.W. but they're well made, comfortable in the hand & a hard shooter. A nice entry level or back up bow. You certainly get your money's worth .

I have a Volcano in the classifieds that I would'nt hesitate to take on any hunt in North America.

I bought my grandson a Samick Deermaster Deluxe.  It is a great looking and great shooting bow. Samick knows a thing or two about making bows.

I wanted to get back into Trad inexpensively after many years and chose the Samick Sage as a starter bow.
I can't find a reason to upgrade yet.  It shoots great and really withstands my abuse.
The finish wasn't perfect on the riser but I put some coats of Tru-Oil on it and it looks great now.
Can't say enough good things about it.  When I do upgrade it will probably be to a nicer Samick.
Thumbs up on Samick!

Joe

The dead deer can't tell the difference between my Samick and my BW and each has been as effective for me as the other.
