As some might recall Kenny McKenzie (Kennym)was nice enough to giveaway one of his wonderful bows on Tradgang last November for his birthday and I was the LUCKY ONE that won it.
Well I thought I would give everyone an update on just how good Kenny's bows are. I competed last weekend in the Louisiana State Championship shoot the Sterling Harrell Memorial and took the Sterling Harrell Award for Top Traditional Longbow Shooter in the tournament using Kenny's bow.
Kenny has a great bow design, with a handle that makes griping the bow the same each time very easy. Also his R/D bow has great performance for it's weight and this helped a lot when it came to shooting 50 targets in a round.
I would like to Thank Kenny again for his generosity and also to let everyone know he has another of his bows in the St.Jude auction if anyone else want to own one of his find bows.

From someone who has dealt with Kenny a couple of times: This doesn't suprise me a bit that his bow is almost as a straight shooter as Kenny is.
Congratulations.
Oh thats too Cool. Congrats to both of you. Kenny's good people!!!
Wow! Congratulations on the win and a fine bow!
Kenny is a good representative for traditional archery and almost as important the great state of Missouri.
Thanks for sharing.
God bless,mudd
Excellent. Congrats! I agree Kenny's design is top notch and if you look on the bowyers bench you will see them being built all over the world. Kenny has made many first time bowyers successful right off the bat with his plans. Its a sweet shooting bow!
That's good stuff right there, and all because of a good person like Kenny McKenzie!
Sounds to me like Kennym made you a very good bow, and I'd say you must be pretty good at dropping the string yourself. Good job to both of you.
WOW!!
I am so tickled this bow went to a person who would shoot the heck out of it!!
And obviously do it very well!
Congrats to Don! :clapper:
  to both of you!
Good shoot'n!
Could you please identify the two gray guys in the photo?

The one on the left is yours truly and the guy on the right is Michael Harbison the Secretary / Treasurer (BAYOUTRADARCHERY@wildblue.net) of the Louisiana Traditional Bowman and one great string builder.

 to both of you!!!
Looks as though you worked up a sweat winning that one.
Competition must have been tough.

Thanks Everyone !! Yes Deathmaster it was a little warm last weekend down here in Louisiana. I shot the longbow class Saturday and it was a little cooler that day. All of us who were working the shoot, I hold the office of president of the LTB, had to get our rounds in as best we could between doing all the thing needed to keep the shoot going.
On Sunday I shot the Senior Class (where have all the years went?) with my old Bighorn recurve and had to rush to get through before time to turn scores in and then total up scores and hand out the awards. Somehow I managed to win that class also so it was a great weekend for me.
Thanks Again Everyone and if you need any products to build your own bows drop Kennym a line I know he will be happy to help you, One Great Guy !!

Well done on both parts! Congratulations to you both!
