Title: hog hunting in alabama

where is a good place to hog hunt in alabama? i live in north alabama. is there anyplace around here? i also dont mind driving a few hours

This time of year for public ground try Bankhead NF in Lawrence and Winston Counties.  During deer season you can add Wheeler Refuge in Limestone and Morgan Counties to the list.  Check the Bowsite Alabama forum for some topics on this.

Some Corps of Eng. lands around the various locks and dams are open year round for hog hunting.  You will have to check, each one has its own set of rules.  Bill

You ever heard of 7-mile? They make a mess of them convenient ball parks...oink oink oink

you can only hunt them in april at 7 mile. i read the WMA handbook and they only allow it in april
