I asked this question before http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=088347 ,but so many of you are answering, that I would like to make a poll out of this one.
So sorry to bother you again!
The question is: what is the weight you are shooting, expressed in a ratio of arrow-weight(grains) and drawweight (pounds)
The answer comes in gpp.
If you want to give some additional info, feel free to do so!
I answer of 11gpi is based on my recurves hunting arrows.
My target arrows are a lot lighter at just under 6.7 gpi.
My bow is warrantied to 6.5
I put what I'm shooting right now but hope to have my Sky arrows around the near 10+GPP.
Depends on what I am doing with the bow, big game 10-11 gpp, target 8gpp.
I can't vote in this poll. I have three bows and each one is a different poundage which runs from 11.85-14.13 grains per pound depending on which bow I'm shooting. The poll isn't setup for multiple bows with different poundages so I can't choose just one answer.
Ok,
For those who could not vote thus can't see the results:
there are 85 votes by now, 36% is between 10-11 gpp, 28% is between 9-10 gpp and 15% is between 11-12%
I marked 10-11, but actually should be 10-12. 11 + - seems to be the best.
Eric
52lbs at 31" 9.1 gpp
Usually 9-10 for me.
Three Dan Toelke Super D bows and one Whip,51 to 57 lbs., arrow weight 11.3 to 12 grains per pound. I'm also working up arrows on a Jim Rempp Yew Self Bow, they will be around 10 g.p.p.
Wow! 170 votes already.....
Looks like I fall into the "heavy arrow" category even though I'm shooting light poundage bows.
Kicking this one up, 220 votes already, but I would love to see some more.....
And up again, 254 votes...
FD
Have you broken the data down in 0.5 gpp increments? This information may be more compelling.
Up again.......

Shooting Rodney Wright 48" Stalker...3 Rivers #500 carbon 555gr. at 10.8 gpp
In most cases my hunting and target arrows weigh the same and most of them (different bows) fall 8.5 - 9 gpp I like the balance of speed and arrow weight.
427..... can we get to the 500????
436 and up again.....
451, up again....
45lb recurve, 500+ grain arrows. It's maybe impossible to find 1916 arrows anymore, so I'm shooting longer 2016's out of my bow. They are pretty heavy for that bow; might try the CE 90's as some are saying they fly great from bows in this weight class.
it's running again, 475 now... I simply KNOW we can hit the 500.....
490, 10 more to go........
Okay, we are over the 500 now, Thank to you all for your cooperation!
Just out of curiosity...... up again.....
Still running, so up agian....
