KHALVERSON,his boy Damien and I made it out for our maiden voyage of the season. We ended up shooting 26 fish, just under 200 pounds. Damien was killin' em with an old K-Mag. Kevin had a brand new Samick, and I shot my Carbon film dipped Zipper. We quit after just 2 hours because our bucket was almost full. Kevin should be along to add pics. I called Dogzilla a $100 dogfish because a few years ago I won $100 at the G.L.B.C. with a dogfish smaller than that.
Two Tracks, we have room for one more in the boat :D
I forgot to add Dogzilla weighed 8.8 pounds and we had 3 more just over 8 pounds. Biggest carp was 17#.
Sounds like a blast. I can't wait to see the pictures. I really am excited to see a dogfidh since I don't have a clue what one is...lol
God bless,Mudd

Bowfin: also called Grinnel (not sure of the spelling.) Heck of a lot of fun to catch on a cane pole, too.
Looks like a lot of fun guys. I really need to find time to go bowfishing again.
Mudd, I'll make sure we get better pics next time. The dogfish range from that gray color to a green and have a bright "eye" spot on the tail. Very primitve type of fish and very tough. Great fight if you don't shoot them in the head :archer2:
Looks like a great day on the lake! The average carp around here is on 4-5 lbs.
One question, do you think that a dogfish spends most of his day chaseing a catfish? :bigsmyl: I know, I know, that was much to easy but, I couldent resist.
Bill
Seems I am late to the party! Congrats to you all though. I never got me a dog fish, I am game next time you get after it. Give a shout Mike and let me know.
Bill, You never disapoint, ole buddy. ...chasin catfish. gitoutta here.
Way to go guy's
Chuck
I don't shoot them during the day Bill but it sure could happen! Ol' Black Beauty shot great as her new role of bowfishing/back-up bow. Should've seen the blood and mud all over her! Chuck, when can you go and do you want to come all the way up here? I'm checking with Kevin Halverson to see what we can arrange.
I've only been bowfishing a couple times but I think I could get addicted to it. Its alot of fun!
Looks like you guys had a great time.
Way to go!.
I never heard them called dogfish but I sure know a grinnel or bowfin. One that's anywhere near 2 lbs can turn over a 12' jon boat. Don't ask how I know..lol
Thanks!
God bless,Mudd

Yeah man....you never know what's gonna streak out from under your boat!
I just checked the IGFA all tackle world record. 21lbs. 8oz. Forest Lake SC. That's a bigun"
I have never even seen one of those things! Do they exist here in west central GA?
Anaconda, I took mine at West Point Lake
Man Biggie, that is impressive. Speaking of streaking, what is joebuck up to these days?
