I don't think a 2419 will fit over the 2317 due to the wall thickness but haven't tried. Is the 2512 the only option?
Does anyone have an idea? I am looking for some whatever it may be.
Thanks
Richie,
Yep the 2512 would be the ticket. What the heck are you building?
Normally it's 2 up on the first numbers and a 12 wall thickness for all aluminums.
Mike
Mike,
I am trying to extend the footing past the insert and over the broadhead adapter. My 210 gr. adapter extends 1/2" in front of insert before reaching the broadhead.
The weak spot is the adapter shank. I am trying to add a little strength and see what happens.
thats a good idea Richie
when i looked at it that looked like the one week spot.
post some pics if it works for you
Richie - I would also like to see some pics when you are done. H
Tradtusker,
For the record, Jesse Peltan was looking at my setup and made the suggestion.
I too think it is a good idea...good enough to try.
For now I am going to grind down the adapter just a hair and slide the existing outer footing up. That may be the best solution as it allows the footings to stay smaller than the ferrule.
Hope it works. Please post pictures when its done.
Got the nocks and things.....Cool bow...
Mark
Yea Mark...I got your nocks as well. They will work great. I may have more green ones for you in the future. If you happen to run across any heavy field points I will wheel and deal with ya.
