With diesel prices going up this will help we get into the woods for a fraction of the cost. Hopefully latter this year Ill show you a picture with some meat on there.
Looks good.
Now for the arrows and quiver.
Now that's a huntin' rig.
I would put that in a PVC tube instead of a sock. I have done the same thing when I bought a bow at a meet or a garage sale. Whatever works!!!
Cat quiver on back.
Sounds good to me!!!! Take them fire roads to the good spots!!!!!
Will the rear tire throw much mud/water? A more impervious material in the bow sock might help if you think it'll get wet. The fleece looks as if it is going to get pretty mudded up.
Won't work, that bike is not "traditional". Maybe an old Indian.........
Dude.. That's Sweet!!! Like said above.maybe some more padding and or a plastic bag inside or out of the sock to keep it dry.
Way to Go!!! :scared:
Been thinking of doing the same, only on my Harley to go to 3D's. Maybe somebody's got a pic with a street bike? Thinkin' a PVC tube might be the ticket.
I like XR's. What weight limit does that rack have? I was wondering because I'm always interested in hauling meat. Gary
This is great!!!! loved it so much I saved the  picture
For sure you can go farther away with that old XR.I did something like that with my KTM.
Here is a pic of my setup with the pvc tube.

Must be a LEE thing (my last name)
It is a work in progress in my picture it is just fastened with wire ties I am leaning towards a leather pocket I so I can slide it in and out from the back. The rack came from cycleracks.com and he said it would hold 200 lbs.
I want to see it with a deer strapped on it.
Nice guys!
I just got back from the Whittingham shoot on my bike. I had my td ACS stuffed in my arrow case and strapped to the back along with a host of other gotta haves.
Hey Ron W....thought I'd see you at Whittingham??? Hope you take me up on my offer, you always have a room and a hot meal in PA! Comes with an archery range for your bow and a garage for your bike!
Tim
Darren, now repeat after me... "I will not do a wheelie". It looks like a great rack, but this has Pat McManus written all over it.
When able, send photo of you standing on seat at full draw chasing buffalo.
Joshua Lee your silverwing brings back good memories. One nice bike.
I had that rack on a 06 wr450. They are pretty sweet racks and can haddle heavy loads. ... Man I need to get another dual sport!
Hey Tim....I had 14 things to do that weekend. I was going down but I changed my mind at the last minute. I have gone to Whittingham for the last 3 or four years.

Now that was one twisted man to think up the stuff he wrote!
All ya'd need is a saddle to put on the deer you drape over the bike so you can ride the deer/bike home!
Try #2 way better.

I think my next bow will be a take down.
Awesome :clapper:
Now your ready, makes me want a moto bike.
Crazy ass Leeboys
Josh
I rode my old '79 Suzuki GS550L to the Whittingham. I took my Zipper 3pc LB, so it strapped down easy in a case. I did get a lot of second looks on the road though at my side stalker quiver full of very bright fletching bungeed to the side of my pack. It's got a back-rest with luggage rack so I can strap a bunch of gear on it. I will have my '78 GS750 ready for Denton Hill, along with a small trailer. I gave-up on cars last year and only ride bikes now.
My takedown recurve fits in the trunk on my 98 Goldwing. I bungee the arrows to my trunk rack and I am off to the shoots!
Mike
That's more like it,way to go!!!
THAT IS COOOOOL!!!!!!
I'm not sure if it looks like some BA exhaust or an anti-tailgater device (bazooka)
SWEET
I have that same rack. Its great. It was designed to haul Elk quarters out the back woods.

love those dual purpose bikes.been wanting another one for a while.i have been looking at the 1100's.great riding across the high desert on one, after dark she gets a little cold though.like the pvc great idea.who makes the rack?
Will the heat from the exhaust pipes be a problem? Both rigs seem to have the bow pretty close to the engine and exhaust. YOu can get a pretty bad burn on those things if you touch them.
The PVC tube keeps sounding better and better.

Rack is made by http://www.cycleracks.com/
I haven't tried any bow mounting on mine. Currently just used as a commuter. I do have a takedown longbow if I did want to travel with. Shouldn't be an issue to lash it down on the rack or on top of the luggage
Cool thumper.
Saving gas, and hauling...backstraps. :bigsmyl:
