Title: PCH Turkeys
Post by: Steel on April 24, 2010, 06:10:00 PM
Here are the two 10" bearded toms I bagged this spring season both with 54" 50@27" Widow PCH-X's.I arrowed the first Eastern Tom with my Curly Narra PCH from the ground at 15 yards using a 3-D leafy jacket he saw me draw but it was to late. The second Rio Tom I arrowed with my Zircote/Myrtle PCH from a Hub ground blind at 12 yards.I had him strut just out of range for over 10 minutes trying to impress my hen decoy I thought he was never going to come into range.

Both Oklahoma Toms taken about 40 miles apart on different property. We really have Rio/Eastern hybrid turkeys here their ranges overlap you can have 4 toms standing in front of you at the same time and two have Eastern color feathers and the other two look Rio. I used two blade Tempest broadheads on both birds one tom was down in 30 yards through the back angle shot(my favorite)and one just left of the beard front chest shot he ran about 70 yards but I had one heck of a blood trail to follow right to the bird.

Hey congrats on the two great birds. I gotta tell ya I really like that Ziricote and tiger Myrtle PCH, I got to see it in the paint room when I went to order mine. You almost made me change my mind from the new Woodland camo, but now that I have mine gotta say I love it too. Hopefully I will get my first kill soon.

Thats funny I almost ordered a PCH-X with the woodland camo myself  :D . I had it all planned out but went with the Curly Narra Widow instead its really my favorite of my two its really nice in person and I haven't seen another bow like it.
