Sometimes things you do come back Better than what you Did! Recently I sold my personal hunting knife for a little fiancial help going to Sticshooter & Shell. Bradley Owens (TradBrad) from SC purchased it. We have a small horse farm down in Aiken, SC where my wife spends the winter. So I offered Brad to come down for an evening rather than ship the knife.
Well he and his lovely wife Robin drove 2 hours to just to meet a couple of old folks, have dinner, and pick up his tippit knife. Since I just come down a couple of times during the winter, it was a real treat to meet another trad ganger especially one who shares most of my interests and knows local hunting!
Brad also brought a nice collection of blades from other makers with him. That was especially great for me as I'd spent some time this winter trying to branch out my style of bladesmithing.
Most importantly I may have made a new hunting friend. Brad & Robin, Thanks for makin' the trip...tippit

Very Nice Tippit !!
Tippit,
Jeff, it is I that should be thanking you. Being shown such generosity and hospitality form someone you look up to means so much. New friends, good food, bows, knives, and flyrods; what more could a guy ask for.
I look forward to making a few more 2 hour drives in the future to see my new friend and SC hunting partner. It will be even better when you get the forge set up. I will take you up on your offer for sure.
The knife has quickly become my favorite and you know that I am not knife poor. Most I have I would sale but this one will never leave me. Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you and your better half again.

Guess I'm lucky. My wife has a "friend" she's never met, face to face, that shares her passion for miniature horses. They e-mail each other almost daily, share problems and frustrations, as well as joys. I've met her friend a couple of times when I drove down to Florida to pick up horses. My wife understands my passion for archery and hunting, and loves wild game-all of it.
I think I'll keep her!!!
