Just starting off in traditional archery coming from compound bow. I have to say that this is highly addictive and i cant seem to get enough of it. I am so happy I dropped the training wheels.

I was the same way, a few weeks ago.folks here are great willing to give advice and there is a lot of imfo here.now I'm planing to attend the tn classic and build my first self bow I really not sure what it is but I'm go to give it a shot.this is almost just like you said rideing with the training wheels off weeeeeeeeeeee.

Great choice by joining this site. I'm new, too and the addiction seems to have set in...first laminated longbow almost done, first board bow in progress, got materials today for leather armguard and a side quiver.... Best folks anywhere are here-they're full of great advice. Welcome :campfire:

Two recommendations:
1)read Traditional Bowhunter's Handbook by: TJ Conrads
2)watch Masters of the Barebow DVDs (esp vol.3)
These have been extremely helpful for me getting back into tradtional archery after many years away from it. There is a wealth of info in them as well as here.

red tail hawk hows the fever? mine is still going up, made my self bow and now looking to buy wood arrows or bamboo and useing knapped points,anyone know if it is legal to take big game in tn. with flint broardheads?is wood better than bamboo or bamboo better?
