Back in the seventies when so many different acc. weren't available We just used a good string silencer and brush buttons were a must in the beech thickets. Also put deer hide on handle for no-slip and warmth.

I put Bowhush on oall mine.It is a quality wool yarn wrapped around several inches of the string where it is against the cueve.a set of silencers is a must also.Hushpuppies are good also and sold here by the same sponsor.

You need also a nocking point.I have always found brush buttons to add way too much noise for my liking.

All I use are extra heavy Catwhiskers for silencing the bow down and one nock point.

I personally feel brush buttons are not needed. The offer leather saddles or fleece saddles for your grip but a pair of camo gloves with tiny "grippers" will give you a solid grip. I would go this route only if your hands sweat alot and slip around while holding the bow.

I know one bowhunter who is adament about bow noise. He has 10" of yarn wrapped around his string from the loop down, Whiskers below that and felt on his limbs covering the string grooves.
A little compulsive for my taste but to each his own. The less the better........

I like bow hush on my recurves and some home made wool silencer puffs.
