Title: Raptor and A Bowyer
Post by: Ted Fry on April 21, 2010, 07:51:00 PM
Raptor Archery is proud to announce that we now carry the fine broadheads of A Bowyer inc.
For now we are carrying the Bonehead and the Brown Bear in both RW as well as LW, we will continue to add some other models as time and demand dictate.
You will find them in the broadhead section in arrow building on the web site.
These are definitely tough looking as well as precise. Love that edge.

Way to go Ted, those Abowyers are great broadheads. I killed my 09 bull elk with the Brown Bears. They are extremely tough and are easy to resharpen. Good to know we can get them from you just in case Abowyer runs low on their stock.

Eventually Terry , we plan to stock the whole lineup. For now to get going on this for both Raptor as well as ABowyer we are starting out slow with the two that sell the most.
Thomas, the nice thing is that when I make you those nice footed arrows in the future you can have me mount those broadheads without going to two sources.
Ben , Schulz sold American Leather to John Turner of southern Idaho, better man cant be found to carry on the work.

They look nice Ted.
Can a normal human sharpen them, or do they require special sharpening skills?

Simple Simon....I just use a small fine tooth Grobet on the beveled side....and then flat run the file along the flat side flat with easy presute about twice.

I'm sure it will work on a KME also, not sure as they have a pretty steep angle.  I have a KME but haven't tried the Abowyers on it yet.

Thanks for the reply Terry. I've tried to use files to sharpen Grizzly heads in the past with no luck whatever. These sound much more user friendly.
