My wife and I returned home wore out from a long road trip Sunday evening and this letter was in the mail along with a nice check for the kids at St Jude. Now I've received many fine donations from many fine people but this one touched my heart. Can't say much more than I wish Seth was close enough for me to give him a huge hug!
Mike you and your wife are obviously doing things right and have plenty to be proud of there, Seth you are the man.
"Doug,
Have meant to send this to you earlier but got busy. This in my son Seth, he is 8 soon and is a good boy, healthy and very cerebral in everything. He's not a hunter yet but goes with me just to make me happy. He loves other kids and will grow up to do great things for other people someday. He has sent money to St Jude for several years now.
Three months ago he started collecting cans. He calls it "Cans for Kids". The idea was to get money for the aluminum and send to St Jude. So here is 3 months worth of work for Seth. He wanted me to send it to you after he found out about the St Jude project with Tradgang. We also donated a bow, he and I will be watching the auction next month.
My wife and I are Nurses. We both did our month long pediatrics rotation at St Jude. All I can say is that bravery is not defined without mentioning those kids. Working in our Clinic we see folks who complain about silly aches and pains a lot. I sometimes want to show them pictures of some of those kids....
God Bless and Thanks Again,
Mike

Wapiti 792, congratulations on the teaching of humanity to your son. In this day with all the negativity in the news about younger generations it thrills me to hear a positive situation about a child so young, and to Seth Im humbled by your deciding to step in and work for the benifit of others at such an early age, it shows compassion and a sense of doing whats right beyond your years.
Thanks for sharing. That's the kind of folks I like to be around.
Thank you, Seth.
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs Davenport for instilling true, traditional values in your son.

It doesn't get any better than that. Most excellent.
Thanks for sharing, it did bring a smile. Way to go Seth!
I let Seth see all the positive responses to his act of kindness. He was suprised that so many people thought so much of what he did. He acted as if what he did is no big deal, and I think I like that reaction most of all. The smile you guys gave him brings tears to my eyes writing this. He blushed then smiled and said "Hey Dad, let's go shoot our bows like the guys on Tradgang" I nearly broke the door down getting outside with him. Again thank you for making my boy feel special. Let's make this St Jude auction the best ever...donate, bid, and enjoy what a group of like-minded individuals can accomplish to help folks!
