Title: Flemish Question
Post by: mrpenguin on April 19, 2010, 09:18:00 PM
Gents,

I was twisting up a new string this evening and had a little bit of an inconsistent twist on one end... One side twisted up nicely, but the other side seems to have a less tight twist.  This happens once the bow is strung.  My question is whether this will affect the performance of the string/bow when shot.  My gut reaction is, no, but... Any advice, experience, etc... is welcomed!

That means one of the bundles is under more strain than the other. What I do is after I form the first loop I put a twisty on it and stretch it really tight before forming the second loop. That way both bundles will take an equal stain when the string is formed. Jawge
