Awhile back I purchased an Orion (new to me) that had two sets of limbs, static recurve and longbow. I really liked the bow and how it shot, but the grip did not suit me, so I sold the riser(pre-CNC) with the static limbs and had Mike make me a riser (CNC) to fit the Longbow set of limbs.
Well it arrived today and Mike and the gang really did a nice job complimenting the riser and limbs together. Thanks fellas!
It shoots great to! Specs are 58" 53@28 Limbs are dirty bamboo and the riser is Cocobolo stripe, but Mike will have to refresh my memory of the lighter wood - maple of some sort I think.

Looks good! What the specs on the bow?
Mike
Sweet looking bow,congrats!
Updated with specs :readit: :D
Is it better to have the quiver on the riser than on the limbs?
Mike and Jason do beautiful work....that one is a dandy.
Sweet..!

Not sure if it matters as long as the quiver is mounted below the limb fadeouts.
That is a good lookin bow Jake!
Man, I really like the looks of that bow! Congrats and what a fine job Mike and the gang did. :clapper:
Man they make some nice lookin bows. She is a looker :)
Pretty bow!
A friend of ours got a Dryad in a swap and I shoot it last week. Wow,was I impressed ! It is fast, quiet, and points very well.
I shoot it next to some very high dollar, well known bows and it was the one I like the most.
If I can't weasel his bow onto my bow rack I will have to order one before hunting season.
Sharp looking bow, the light wood looks like Myrtle??? but could be maple. They sure make nice bows thats for sure
Yep It's Myrtle. Goes great with Coco.
Mike
Great looking bow!
Congrats
F-Manny
oooooooo, dat one purty bow!!
I never liked recurves --- until I shot my Dryad Orion recurve :bigsmyl:
I bought an Orion with LB limbs 2nd hand and almost sold it until I figured out how to hold it. Now it is the bow that I have the most confidence in. It is quiet, even when goofing around with string-walking. I haven't communicated this to Mike, but when I get some funds together, I'll probably have him or his son make another set of limbs for this bow.
BTW, your rig is very cool!!!
That is a nice piece of Cocobola, I like the Cocobola & Myrtle combo, nice bow.
:clapper: very nice bows
I shot this bow tonite. Dead in the hand and quick. Very nice looking bow too!! Now I will never figure out how to beat Jake on the 3-D range!!
Barry just let me shoot one of your Widow's and you could beat me with your eyes closed... :knothead:
Thanks for the words fella's, great bow for sure!
Really nice bow Jake, I am really looking forward to getting my new Orion. Hopefully any day now.....
Greg,
Yep it won't be long now. We are running a little behind but starting to catch up.
