I can't believe it. Not only did I take my second turkey in two years with a recurve, I got it all on video. Right now I can barely type. Story, pics, and video coming. :bigsmyl:

Congratulations! I too am waiting with baited breath to view your video.
God bless,Mudd
Because of my wireless connection, downloading was taking awhile. I guess I'll have to wait until I get to work. LOL Anyway, photobucket still works. I'll explain why the bird is carrying two arrows later.

Very nice!!
Okay, here it goes. The bird ended up being 18 lbs. with a 6 1/2" beard.
I actually woke up late the morning of the hunt. My daughter had some wet drawers around 4 am and daddy slept through the alarm. I didn't get to the farm until about 7:45. I wanted to check the field edge before I climbed in the blind which was in the inside corner. I saw a strutter about 100 yds. away. A few loud cuts interrupted by my gobbler shaker and I knew he would hear me. I started towards the blind and did it again about half way there. One more sequence before I climbed in and he still never responded. A few seconds later I heard a hen and peaked through the rear of the blind. I immediatly started the camera. About two minutes later, she comes into view.

Very nice. A big congrats. Hoping to do the same up here this year. thanks for keeping me inspired. Great second shot. How far was that second shot?
Excuse the excitement, it was my first video.
Ok All:
That was awesome, not even so much that 2nd shot, but the UNBRIDLED ENTHUSIASM is what got me going.
Congrats!
Tim
How long was the 2nd shot?
Haven't ranged it. I did look at my bow before the shot and almost wished for a 30 yd. pin.LOL I figured if I missed, I still had an arrow left to chase him with. I knew he was hit hard so I just tried to calm down and concentrate on not getting into a foot race with a turkey.
First vid or not that is something to scream about! Congrats on a fine shot(s) and a great bird! :clapper:
And a good time was had by all....lol..Well done!
Way to go Kyle. Now you have to do it with the Ghillie suit I just sold you. Congrats.... Jeff
Great video Kyle.....congrats! Can I ask what type camera you used?
Follow up shot was impressive!!...congrats....i know that holler!..they are few and far between unfortuately for me...enjoy the kill. eat the bounty slow
  . Awsome job!! Congrats.
That was awesome Kyle. Congrats brother.
That was fun to watch...congratulations, it doesn't get much better than that! :clapper:
I used a Sony Handicam with 40x zoom. Its an older version that copies to a CD. My wife taught me how to turn the beeping buttons off the night before.
I thought of the ghillie, but I had a choice this season...camera in a blind or a ghillie without. I'm happy with my decision. I'll use the ghillie in the am when I try to video a buddy who's using a shotgun.
If it wasn't for a gentleman named Eddie Robbins that sold me that first Black Widow, I might still shoot a compound. My how things change. This has lit a fire that I thought was already smoldering away.
Wow! That's great! You sealed the deal. Fine shooting on both shots but you surely shined on that follow up. Congrats.
By the way, I know I rookied the first shot and went high. I got lucky. Should've taken him across the drumsticks. Oh well, I'm much happier I practiced the 30+ more than the 10 and in.
What a cool Vid!! Filming your own hunts is very rewarding, A Big Hand To You!! :clapper:
Very cool! Love the excitement!
Great shooting - especially that follow up shot!
If any Mods could move this to the 2010 Highlights, I would be very appreciative. Thanks.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
Congrats! I just got back from KS after sitting a blind for 3 days with many "close, but no cigar" encounters. Great video!!!!

Way to go!!!! Not to be critical, I know the excitment was running high, but thinking safety...not a good idea running with a broadheaded arrow in hand.
Great shooting...Great bird.
Be Safe
Mike
