I've got a 1998 Ford Taurus which I bought used. I've got a MacBook Pro computer I bought refurbished. I live in a one bedroom apartment with used appliances. All my rifles are used. The only major new purchase in recent years was a new camera (which is now outdated, but still pays me).
Today I said "NO MORE USED!!"
I ordered a NEW Morrison ILF riser with black glass belly, foam core, carbon backing with Broadbanded Watersnake skinned limbs.
It's finally my turn to have something NEW. :D
You can get an idea of what she'll look like here. =0)
Not the exact bow but darn close.

Sweet bow,btw...and the skins are awesome!Congrats and post pic's when ya get it
I feel we have a bond....I drive an 05 Tacoma with.....330,000 miles. I have 3 new bows due within the next few weeks!!
Nice bow, even the average working stiff needs a little treat once in awhile  I got good advice from my friend who is in his 80's he told me to spend it because it's only money.
I'm a few years into a 30 year loan on my house, van pymt for wife, etc, etc. I have no money left to buy any new bows your lucky!!! Enjoy that Morrison that is probably my dreambow there, I've been wanting one for awhile now. Congrats on the new bow.
Good advice given.. Spend it when you can and enjoy the things that matter.. It is only money.
Beautiful bow.. You will be pleased with Morrison quality and performance..

It's a good thing when you know you're worth getting yourself something special just for you.
Enjoy the wait because you already know you'll enjoy the bow, who wouldn't?
Congratulations!
God bless,Mudd
I envy your priorities. I have 5 teenagers living under the roof, so I make my own bows...........COngrats on a fine bow, you will enjoy it for many years...
I drive a new Black Widow PSA X...been new for three years now...Lotta life left.
I also drive two used Lexus SUVs with 170,000 and 251,000 miles...Lotta life left.
That is a sweet looking rig. Good luck with it. Most of my bows are used bows I picked up here, only one is new from Craig at Howard Hill, I admit I do spoil her. But the other guys get the bulk of the workout.
Andrew,
Awesome!!!!! I think that was a great idea. You need to treat yourself. This is better than buying my Dakota. Really happy for you!!!!
If you need to part with it later, FIRST DIBS!
Matt
After raising two daughters, getting by with less, driving very used vehicles, hunting locally, etc, etc, it's finally ME time!
I traded off my old truck and got a new Suzuki hatchback, got myself a new Brackenbury Quest, and I just booked with Ray again (3rd time in 2yrs)!
I feel a little guilty...................NOT!
Oh my goodness, you gonna like that one sir. Top of the barrel for Fido dog or should we say "Big Dog" now?
You are not going to like that bow, so just send it to me. I am going through Dave Ramsey's class at church and it is changing how I think about money, so maybe someday I can afford fun hunting trips and new bows. But the wait is killing me.
Awesome. I bought a Shawnee riser, and a set of used copperhead skinned limbs. I love Bob's bows. ILF is next on the list. I have some fresh cottonmouth skins just for the project. I can't wait until I start the build. Morrison Bows are like an addiction. I thought that the Shawnee would be my end all bow. Now I am looking at Morrison's latest flavor, but must keep the Shawnee. What an addiction.
You must also be patient as well as thrifty, what is waiting time for that bow? Last year I sold my 64 olds sold my BMW motorbike, sold my Goldwing, traded in my '88 van for a new Subaru, bought two new bows, three new concert guitars, but I still have the same dog and the same wife. Careful, that this gettin' new stuff doesn't go too far. If I were you I would trade that ford in for a new huntin' truck. You may need to sell some of those old guns.
I always buy used, but very nice (or the highest quality I can buy) stuff, and get the best deal I can. I drive luxury European automobiles, but bought them for a song each as they are 8/9 years old now. My mechanic is an immensely talented, slightly nutty dude who barely charges me. I keep him busy in turn. I have a wonderful modern home bought before the market went white hot, and no crazy mortgage either. I was lucky enough to have left over furniture from my folks and a few industry connections to fill it with collector pieces.Wife and I have been together since 1993 and it seems to be working out well. I searched for and bought all my Black Widows the same way. Can't wait to get rid of my last few guns and buy another "pre-owned" Widow or two!
I'm learning to be "more thrifty" in my late 30s, but I do like shiny things still, a tiny little bit. I've been lucky enough to get to "have Xmas all the time" as my wife says.
Good on you for getting that new bow finally, brother!
fido dog, well you sure made a good choice when you decided on "new". Use your 98 Taurus to haul that Morrison back from the post office, your camera to take pics of it, and your computer to post those pics on Trad Gang when you get it. Enjoy that fine bow, congratulations!
Your gonna be very happy you treated yourself to one of Bob's fine bows.
That's a nice lookin bow, congrats!
That will be a fine looking bow. Hope it turns out to be all you wish for.
Congrats "big dog"
Tim

I have a 1986 Chevy pick up,I will be living in it if I buy another arrow or bow! :scared:
Because I bought my wife a 2009 Chrysler Sebring hardtop convertable, Frank San Marco is currently building me a bow.....hehe
fido dog I dog the rommies idea. I got plenty of spots for bows :) And the hunting up here is great i like the snake skin its a beauty!
looks good, go way to reward yourself
Being wise with your money lets you buy new once in awhile. Hope it is worth every penny and shoots like a dream for you. It sure looks good.
Now that's a nice New Bow. I've got a 75 Ford F350 390 4 speed with only 116,000 miles I'd trade you straight across.
Did I forget to mention, She's a Camper Special.

Wasn't MY idea! :biglaugh:
Nice choice!
look at the bright side after you shoot it once it will be used. good for you thats an awesome bow enjoy.
Very happy got you. Bob's bows are great. I bought separate risers and limbs for a Shawnee & Ilf. Could not be happier with both my Morrisons. Great guy to deal with.
I upgraded 4 years ago to a '01 Tacoma from an '88 Dodge 150. Guess I am a big spender now.
How's that for one of the coolest bows I've seen!

Even cooler now that the riser is going to be Macassar Ebony. :bigsmyl:
I say good for you...way to treat yourself
I recently let go of my Mini-14 with carbon foam R/C "D" limbs with Wideband Watersnake skins..... It only took a week to realize what I had done, and to place an order for a new one to replace it. Same riser woods Phenolic and Zebrawood but this one will have a bit of Elk Antler and finger grooves on it. :wavey: :archer2:
Turns out those Watersnake limbs were rated @ 26". They were Bobs limbs...LOL. I have a new set in Cocobolo with foam cores and carbon. Therefore I had to change the riser.
These are the new limbs and Bob is building a riser to match.
Shaweeng!

Don't worry. I don't need another bow. And I don't have an addicting personality. Just because I'm here 20 times a day doesn't mean diddly. Gotta' go to facebook now! =0)
