Title: Need Info on Hornes Ridge Runner Recurve
Post by: koger on April 13, 2010, 09:16:00 PM
I have a Hornes Ride Runner, recently got in a trade, 62", 49@28 on the riser but seems a little heavier weight when pulled to my 26&1/2 inch draw. I did notice the limbs have a lot more recurve through the whole limb, and during the draw it just keeps unrolling as the tip comes back. This one has phenolic tips and a FF string, wood appears to be cocobola, red with a Osage or Paduak accent stript through it. The clear glass is dull, lot of scuffs, couple of small dings. I am planning on wetsanding down to 1200-1400 grit and clearcoating the limbs. The riser is in great shape. Anyone have a similar bow, weight higher than listed etc. Any tuning tips appreciated. Thanks in advance. Oh yeah, it is a 3 piece takedown.

I have a Hornes Ridge Runner TD. LH 60" 49#@28" FF with BW phenolic tips. It does have that very unique limb design. And it does feel a little stiffer than some of my other bows. Speed is about average but it's a very quiet bow. I have the brase height set at 6 7/8". My bow has a small grip and a very low shelf. It's a good shooter and i've shot a few deer with it.
