Hi Tom, It's been awhile!
Ok, what are your favorites to work with? I'm just curious, am I am making you bowyers happy or crazy :)
I love bubinga and granadillo for risers. Both are very dense and strong, can be found with beautiful grain, and works easy.
ebony is the worst. dymondwood is also hard on tools. cocobolo and bocote are hard on sanding belts because they gum them up.
:saywhat:
I'll bet Tommy boy is going to order an Ebony Riser...
"Better Stick with Polish Ebony"..
I don't likle ebony, because it's costly and I'm alergic to it. I don't like ipe because I'm extremely allergic to it.
I like the way they both look, I just domn't like the way they try to kill me.
